  1. Iowa now up 2-1 after 3, thanks to a Theriot single to CF, a Pie single to RF, a Restovich single to LF and a Hoffpauir sac fly. Ryu: 3 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 3/0, 35 pitches (24 strikes)
  2. Nah, you'd have been busy talking with your boy Hill. ;)
  3. Ryu gives up a run in the first on a triple and a sac fly. Iowa is batting in the bottom of the first. Ryu: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 11 pitches (6 strikes) Pie grounded out to first in the bottom of the inning.

  5. It's not like Marmol needs to go to the minor leagues and work on anything. He'll be just fine pitching once every 2 weeks. The Cubs seriously should trade Hill (though I am glad to see Guzman starting).
  6. This is getting downright amusing.
  7. Man, 2 more horses going down in Bynum and Womack.

  10. He completely revamped his mechanics and they wanted him to break that in at Boise.
  11. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Jae-Kuk Ryu (2-6, 3.79 ERA, 73.2 IP, 57/28, 1.28 WHIP) vs. RHP Luke Hudson (2-0, 2.30 ERA) West Tenn: LHP JR Mathes (6-4, 3.29 ERA, 82 IP, 62/18, 1.22 WHIP) @ RHP Steven Jackson (3-5, 2.87 ERA) Daytona: RHP Justin Berg (5-5, 4.48 ERA, 78.1 IP, 63/37, 1.53 WHIP) Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor: (3-2, 3.38 ERA, 56 IP, 26/11, 1.29 WHIP) @ RHP Trey Hearne (4-2, 2.74 ERA) Boise: LHP Darin Downs (0-1, 13.50 ERA, 4 IP, 3/1, 1.75 WHIP)
  12. Jeez, 4 walks in one game? Have the Cubs released him yet? His stat line so far this young season: .176/.481/.176/.657
  13. As I posted in the JAD Forum, Tyler Colvin will reportedly sign on Tuesday with the Cubs and join Boise on Wednesday.
  14. I just want it noted that I claimed Lewis as a favorite of mine last year when he was in Mesa based on his walk rates. Join me on the bandwagon as those sexy walk rates continue now in Boise.
  15. I guess it wouldn't surprise you to know his nickname is "Hollywood." :D
  16. Dang, they changed the first two runs Pawelek surrendered from unearned to earned. His line now consists of 4 ER in 4 IP. From what I can tell seeing one video of his start last time out, he still needs work on control and his mechanics seem to need more work. Is there anything besides that that concerned you?
  17. Pawelek ended up giving up 2 more runs. His final line: 4 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 1/1, WP Boise down 5-1 in the 7th.
  18. Boise is up 1-0 in the middle of the second. Pawelek gave up 1 hit in a shutout first inning: Boise scored thanks to an Elvin Puello RBI single. Dang, Pawelek gives up 2 unearned runs in the 2nd, he was hurt by a Sammy Baez error. 2 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 3 H, 1/1 Boise is losing 2-1 after 2.
  19. I'm going to laugh if Boof turns out to be a stud for the Twins too. Imagine trading AJP for Boof, Liriano and Nathan. Hooray for Sabean!!
  20. Go with a paper bag over your face. Hand some out to others who are willing.
  21. Or let's base our decision on Hill on the limited number of innings he's received (while being bounced between Iowa and Chicago), especially when Marmol has been rushed and has things to work on.
  22. who cares? the fact is, he put up a 3.11 era and a k per inning out of kc's pen last year at the age of 22 and the cubs got NOTHING for him. i don't know how you can defend that. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=7470 Who cares what Sisco did LAST yr. This yr, he has been MISERABLE. He is a headcase, that will be nothing more then a average middle reliever. But hey...Sisco and Rauch can tryout for the Bulls, since they both have size. Neither can pitch effectively, but hey let's see what they can do on the basketball court. Fact is...Sisco is prolly not going to amount to much in MLB, and to think they could have gotten something reasonably for Sisco, is foolhardy. If you can dismiss one good season and say he won't amount to much, then I can dismiss one bad season and say he'll still be a solid big leaguer. Either way, it's disappointing to see the Cubs lose Sisco for nothing when he could have been a valuable trading chip at the very least. Heck, Sisco could have meant the difference between Nolasco being a Cub as opposed to a Marlin.
