Ceda's first inning: Flyout to RF. Strikeout swinging. Groundout, 6-3. Ceda's second inning: Strikeout swinging. IF single on a chopper that bounced over Ceda. Strikeout looking. Flyout to shallow LF. Ceda: 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 3 K. ------ Iowa up 3-2 after 6. Peoria down 7-4 after 5.

Thanks to a strong wind blowing in, Tyler Colvin is robbed of a HR to deep LF. Woulda been gone on a normal day. By the way, that wind is going to help get wind chills in the 40s towards the end of the Boise game.

Ceda with a 1-2-3 first inning, got a K along the way. Oooo, listen in to tomorrow's Hawks pre-game show - Oneri Fleita was interviewed (it was done today, but due to technical difficulties, they couldn't air it). Iowa up 3-1 in the 5th, EPatt went 2 for 2 with a BB. Mesa's offense is again being no-hit, so far through 6. They're down 2-0.

Huh, didn't realize they had already started. I think Huseby's season is over, I doubt they bump him up to Boise. 3 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 4 K, HR. Not bad, imo, especially after the last two outings. Carrillo's night is over in Peoria and his final line is in my previous post.

    Iowa and Oklahoma tied at 1 after three. Pie: 0/1, K EPatt: 1/1, R, BB, SB Carrillo is getting HAMMERED: 3 IP, 6 R, 5 ER, 7 H, 1 BB, 1 K Peoria down 6-3.

    In the 2nd, the game is tied up at 3 on a Robinson Chirinos 3-run HR. Carrillo with a rough 2nd inning: 2 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 H, BB, K.

Carrillo works around a basehit for a scoreless first.

What impact player can be had for the middling prospects in our system? You could get something with the pitching we have. I would think a package of Hill, Pawelek, Veal could net you a pretty good player. I don't think those guys (forgive me Rich!) are loved by other organizations as much as us. We've always been under the impression that our prospects are better than they are. Veal is going to get rocked if he keeps walking people. Pawelek is pretty solid. Hill is just getting his value out of the toilet. Veal is. He should be an MLB-wide top-50 prospect.

Heh, while Theriot got a good 2.5 seasons in the SL and FSL.

Exactly. It would appear as though they did the same thing with Hudson, but they didn't get much out of that trade.

Might as well go for the high draft pick. What else is there to play for? can someone fill me in who knows alot by amautuer baseball. Lets say we are picking top 3...is there a saviour out there? An Arod? A Joe Mauer? A Johan Santana? or are we pretty much F'ed. As of now (and this definitely will change by next June), the top 3 prospects look like LHP David Price (Vanderbilt), RHP Matt Harvey (high school) and C Matt Wieters (Georgia Tech). Do any of those players you just mentioned go by the title "Messiah" The pitchers look real good, especially the HS ones. There's gonna be a future few aces there - the draft certainly will be better than this years. I'd take Price if he can perform at the level another Vanderbilt product is pitching at right now. Yeah, the next Roy Oswalt sounds good to me. :) Roy Oswalt didn't go to Vanderbilt?

Troy Tulowitzki - the top prospect in probably the second best farm system in baseball - was called up to Colorado:

Oh man, that Javy Lopez HR was awful.

The Jaxx have lost 8 in a row already, not sure how if they can lose 13 in a row.

Sanchez signles to right. Jones threw it over the backstop. Wow. I know, your wondering how it managed to go over the backstop on the 36th bounce just like I am. Seriously, I didn't know Jacque had it in him to throw it past 15'.

He's probably going to get called up no matter what.

Man, I wish Bynum got to play more. yeah.... somewhere else !! St. Louis? If he went to St. Louis he would instantly become great... Just like Weaver and Ponson and Miles... So far so good this season. :D
