  1. Rich Hill in August: 34.2 IP, 3.37 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, .214 BAA, 28 K/11 BB, 6 HR (:()
  2. :-s whoops.....Rolen pops out to Nevin at first. I like the first version better, it seems like something the Cubs would do - catch their own hits to get out.
  3. I still can't believe more hasn't been made of that. If I were a Braves fan, the mere mention of that incident would cause me to go flying into a fit of rage. The managers in the NL Central are something.
  4. Hey, at least he didn't pretend like his phone didn't work. In a playoff game.
  5. Are you referring to my comment? No. I'm referring to Walrond starting tomorrow. It was him or Jerome Williams after Ryu was used a few days ago. The Cubs want Sean Marshall and Wade Miller to get one more rehab start each.
  6. I'd pay money to see that DH. :)
  7. Oh wow, another solid game for Hill: 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 2 K Only 2 Ks?
  8. Ask abuck. It's his local newspaper.
  9. I guess Jerome will start for Iowa then.
  10. Iowa: Felix Pie is hitting .343/.395/.619/1.014 with 9 BBs and 24 Ks in 105 August ABs. West Tenn: Chris Shaver is 7th in the SL in ERA and tied for 10th in strikeouts. Daytona: Ryan Harvey is tied with Brock Peterson for the FSL lead in HRs with 20. Peoria: Jesus Valdez (144) and Ryan Norwood (143) are first and second in the MWL in hits. Boise: Russ Canzler is tied with Adam Witter for the NWL lead in HRs with 14. He is 1 shy of the Hawks team record (15 by Todd Greene in 1993). Mesa: Cliff Andersen is hitting .368/.471/.509/.980 with 8 BBs and 15 Ks in 57 August ABs.
  11. Why Les OR Jerome? Les was actually scratched from Friday's start: Jerome is another candidate to be called up.
  12. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Jerome Williams (4-6, 4.76 ERA) vs. RHP Andrew Good (9-8, 4.85) West Tenn: LHP Chris Shaver (7-8, 2.95 ERA; overall: 7-8, 2.77 ERA) Daytona: LHP Donnie Veal (6-2, 1.82 ERA; overall: 11-5, 2.27 ERA) Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor: (8-8, 3.35 ERA) @ LHP Tyler Norrick (1-2, 3.74 ERA) Boise: RHP Jose Pina (2-5, 5.15 ERA) @ RHP Cesar Valdez (6-4, 3.20 ERA) Mesa: RHP Rafael Dolis? (0-2, 8.22 ERA) Walrond: 133.1 IP, 104 K/59 BB or Williams: 98.1 IP, 45/30 Shaver (West Tenn & Daytona): 146 IP, 113/52 Veal (Daytona & Peoria): 143 IP, 153/76 Taylor: 131.2 IP, 65/23 Pina: 50.2 IP, 21/18 Dolis: 23 IP, 29/15
  13. Daytona back to 0.5 back of St. Lucie. The unearned runs aren't cool, but that was Jake Renshaw's best pro outing. Chris Huseby needs to stop having bad outings. Rafael Dolis is AWOL.
  14. Polls are closed. Sean Gallagher wins the People's Vote!
  15. Sweet! :D
  16. Four hours and 12 minutes left...VOTE OR DIE!
  17. I'm going to the gym and then dinner in West LA, that's probably it for updates until maybe the very end of the Boise game. Hopefully someone can take over for the non-Jaxx games - I think we have a suitable replacement for that one (:D). Also, please vote for the 2006 Minor League Player of the Year. Polls close in a little over 4 hours and Sean Gallagher currently has a 4 vote lead over Donnie Veal.
  18. Iowa is down 3-0 after 2. Wilton Chavez gave up 3 in the first inning. Pie is 0 for 1 with a strikeout. EPatt is 0 for 1. Soto is 0 for 0 with a walk.
  19. Oh, and be ok, Alex Brown.
  20. GO BEARS!
  21. Steve Bronder will start game two for Daytona in what is basically a must-win.
  22. Daytona loses game one 4-2. Phelps takes the loss. They drop to 1.5 back with game two starting in 30 minutes.
