    Yeah. Start a new game thread for each game in a series, but after the game, they'll be merged into one thread for the series by a mod.

    I'm like goony. Rex was never my first choice in the draft, but I knew he was talented and was glad to have him ever since (I think I liked him a whole lot more the past few years than goony, though).

    The games are all on Oahu. I'm no expert, but I'm not sure why the state wouldn't use the same name/pronounciation as the island. Anyways, the league got started on Sunday. Scott Koerber pitched for North Shore in the opener and got the win by pitching the 5th and 6th. Scott's line: 2 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 K/0 BB. Here's the Honolulu Advertiser's article and box score. Koerber's 5th inning: S. Kazmar flies out to RF. W. Venable strikes out swinging. J. Mayberry pops out to 1B in foul territory. (0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB) Koerber's 6th inning: J. Whittleman lines out to CF. J. Ford pops out to 1B in foul territory. T. Sakaguchi doubles to left field. M. Stodolka singles through the hole at second base, T. Sakaguchi scores. M. Moriyama grounds out, 1-3. (1 Runs, 2 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB)

    Geeeeeeeeez. Boras might make some really nice coin this year if he's representing two of the potential #1 picks. Then again, we all remember the last time that happened with Weaver and Drew... That would be nice if a Weaver or a Drew dropped down to the 3rd pick because of Boras. I don't like Brackman as much as Price or Wieters, but I'd take any of those three (as of now, obviously things might change by next June).

    You think the M's will pony up the money for Daisuke and Schmidt? Honestly, no. But given all the things in their favor in terms of the Japanese players signing with them (and the fact that Schmidt isn't a slam dunk Mariner signing), I think they have to be in the top 2 or 3 (add Baltimore, I guess).

    I think Oregon will go to Berkeley and beat Cal by 10+. Then kill UCLA by 30 in Eugene. :oops:

    Go Dodgers! The game is on ESPN and ESPN Radio. RHP Derek Lowe (16-6, 3.63 ERA, 123/55) @ RHP John Maine (6-5, 3.60 ERA, 71/33) During the regular season, the Mets had the advantage head-to-head, 4-3.

    They won't give up their first round pick, that's for certain, but not their 2nd - 4th round picks. Of course, they might do away with compensatory picks completely.

    There are supposedly 20+ teams that have shown interest in Daisuke, so stating the Cubs are one of them isn't that big a deal. I still think he'll be a Yank or a Mariner.
