  1. Wow, it's like 7 degrees warmer in Chicago than it is here. ... Great drive by TJ and great decision-making by Rex.
  2. The above is a short excerpt from an article up on Baseball Prospectus right now. In baseball, maybe more than any other sport, I would not give up on a guy with personality issues. Jeff Kent is a huge jerk, but I'd rather have him at second base than Mark Derosa. I'd rather have JD Drew than Willy Taveras and Ryan Church than Angel Pagan, too. Come on, Mazatlan. He has to get to his playing weight in 2004!
  3. Gah. I'm not surprised but that's very disappointing.
  4. Culiacan lost 7-5, box: 3B C. McGehee 0/3, RBI (35), K (27) - getting tired? Gusave lost 8-4, box: 3B I. Salas 1/4, R, HR (3), RBI (11), 2 K (10) - lead off Overall: Casey McGehee (Culiacan): 65/216, .301/.363/.440/.803, 7 HR, 9 2B, 21 BB, 27 K, 1/3 SB, 10 E Issmael Salas (Gusave): 22/69, .319/.373/.478/.851, 3 HR, 2 2B, 6 BB, 10 K, 1/2 SB
  5. I e-mailed you also, but may I get a PDF version too? Thanks.
  6. Leones win 6-4, box: C H. Blanco 0/4, K (22) Tigres lose 5-0, box: SS R. Cedeño 0/4, K (24) Overall: Henry Blanco (Leones): 33/153, .216/.294/.320/.614, 1 HBP, 16 BB, 22 K, 3 HR, 7 2B, 2/3 SB, 3 E Ronny Cedeño (Tigres): 25/107, .234/.305/.318/.623, 1 HBP, 10 BB, 24 K, 2 HR, 3 2B, 0/3 SB, 2 E ------- Angel Guzman (Navegantes): 13 IP, 5 ER, 11 H, 11 K/2 BB, 2 HR, 3.46 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 12 GO-14 FO
  7. He did bat 9th probably 90% of the season.
  8. Juan Mateo yesterday, Carlos Marmol today. Licey beats Orientales 11-4: C J. Reyes 2/3, R, BB (2), 2B (3) SP C. Marmol 3 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 2 K/1 BB Overall: Jose Reyes (Orientales): 14/60, .233/.258/.333/.591, 3 2B, 1 HR, 2 BB, 8 K, 4 PB Carlos Marmol (Licey): 3 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 2 K/1 BB, 3.00 ERA, 0.67 WHIP
  9. UCLA goes to 9-0 with a 74-53 win over Oakland. The FT shooting is starting to be a concern, only Afflalo and Roll have been shooting well from the line this season.
  10. Good job, Noc, but way too soon. Defense has to hold for 13.4 seconds.
  11. Better shot this possesion than the last one in regulation, plz.
  12. Meh...too predictible an offensive set. Nice try by Gordon, though. To overtime...
  13. Good help D and nice close out by Noc. Nice stop. C'mon, let's win it here.
  14. OMG, Ben Wallace! FT shooting ace!
  15. Tank Johnson should take these refs clubbing. What BS.
  16. Considering the source, I'm not shocked that Andy's dad wouldn't say nice things about Ryu. But I doubt Ryu was a complete angel here.
  17. That's what I heard as well.
  18. I'd rather spend the money on Briggs. Briggs is going to get franchised. If they dont the Bears are waaay to nice. Bryan Robinson? He sucks but thats all i can think of right now. He might be playin i dunno. I hope the Bears franchise Briggs. Not sure about the FA market, but I believe Ian Scott is a RFA or a regular FA this offseason. Frankly, I like what Angelo has done in the draft at DT, if the Bears feel they need another DT, I'd rather they go that route.
