  1. I want Eyre. Just not for 3 years. Nor at $3 million each year.
  2. I would guess this poll was created based on my away message, but it wasn't humid today in LA.
  3. Oh yes.
  4. Wow, you even check in here when you're on vacation. Sweet! :D
  5. Well thought out, brinoch. Get a little something for the pen and that's one hell of an offseason for the Cubs.
  6. Could possibly be the first time since Carroll was hired that Plaschke wrote something bad about USC. With USC's depleted LB corpse, it was much harder for Carroll to take action against Maualuga. Is this a somewhat big story out there, or is it no big deal? It's big when the pro-USC folks are writing front page stories about it.

  8. UCLA wins it 83-70. :) Sophomore Arron Afflalo was a beast, redshirt senior Cedric Bozeman looked good, the freshmen (outside of the most hyped one - Wright) have looked good. Still no inside presence on offense. And Steve Lavin predicted UCLA would win the Pac-10 at halftime. I have Stanford finishing ahead of UCLA.
  9. Felix is still on the Licey roster. 60 ABs: .217/.260/.367/.627 11 SO, 3 BB Carlos Marmol: 1.2 IP, 4 G, 1 ER, 0 H, 3 BB, 1 K, 5.39 ERA
  10. You can throw out the record books when Bowling Green meets Miami, OH. I'd like to throw them at the folks who work at ESPN2, but thankfully, the UCLA game is on. Go Bruins!
  11. Awesome, both ESPN2 and ESPN2 Alternate are carrying the Bowling Green - Miami, Ohio football game, rather than the New Mexico State - UCLA basketball game.
  12. No problem with Pujols winning it, problem with him barely beating Andruw and problem with Derrek Lee being a distant third.
  13. Correct. Yet another great trade by Ed Lynch, especially since Aguilera got that magically 300th save with the Cubs in that great 2000 campaign. Not that Lohse has been spectuclar, but rather just another example of the Cubs trading for an over-the-hill less than great player. -Banghart I don't regret trading Lohse. Could have traded him for a better player, though. Same with Jon Garland.
  14. I think he'll need more than a half season in the minors.
  15. Ugh, not the way to start the road trip. Bulls down 19 after 3. :(
  16. I don't like players with two 1st names as their 1st and last name. :) Like Jason Michaels? youre a page late. and a dollar short . . . I don't trust anyone named Juan. Haha, I don't blame you.
  17. Jenks is around 4 years younger and has much better stuff. Working in MacDougal's favor is the fact that he hasn't lit his arm on fire. I laughed at that.
  18. That would be quite an accomplishment, and bad news for the downtown area it demolished as it rolled toward the Mississippi. Just wait for the New Madrid to shake again.
  19. BA's 2004 Top Ten Prospects per Team report. They said he worked in the 88-92 range, but could dial it up to 95 when the situation called for it. Thanks for digging that up. I didn't realize he could reach the mid 90's. In fact, he dialed it up to 96 on opening day in 2004 (in 30-degree weather). If it's Corey and Aardsma, I'm not complaining. If Hill, Pinto, Marshall or Pie are involved, I am going to be uber pissed.
  20. No fun. I heard Penn St. cheats and uses 13 players when they play but the refs let them off cause they're related to Paterno. I wish UCLA's defense would cheat. Then, maybe they could stop the run. Same with Mizzou or MSU. :( What's sad is that the UCLA DL has the potential to be much better if everyone was healthy, but we've had some key guys out all season. Now, we have 3 under-sized true freshman in our rotation (and we lost our best true freshman in the Oklahoma game). Injuries happen, but I can't help but wonder how well the defense would play if they had the regulars.
  21. Miss TJ Parker much? Where is he?

  23. That's about the best news one could expect from Cedric's injury. Hopefully TJ and the original Adrian Peterson can hold up during the next few weeks.
  24. Very nice, thanks Jon.
