  1. Where were you? I didn't see you. Truffle beat him up. :)
  2. Leinart has not looked good so far. And Reed hurt himself there on the kickoff, good thing Bush was there to pick it up/it rolled into the endzone or that would be a huge fumble.
  3. ND punt return for a TD. 21-14, they lead it now.
  4. 0-0 going to the second inning in Houston.
  5. TD, Notre Dame on a pretty fade from Brady Quinn to Jeff Samardzija. 14-14.
  6. I'm sorry, but if you think you're going to get the best offensive free agent on the market for 4 million dollars per year. You sir, are insane. I'm pretty sure he meant 3/36. Somehow I just don't think it's right to give Giles an equivalent or better deal than Aram. Can't explain why, though. You can't look at it that way when dealing with free agents. If we won't pay Giles more than Ramirez, then we won't have him. So it's either pay him more than Ramirez or have another season of Jeromy Burnitz or someone like him. You'd only do it for one season before Aramis opts out for a bigger contract, anyways.
  7. :pig: I still think the YMCA guys would have been a good choice. :bum: I figured that the pig will be good for trade speculations Or for people who ask when Dusty will leave the Cubs. :(
  8. UK is a fan, I believe. I wouldn't mind the Cubs going that route, but I doubt it. Instead of Seanz, I'd prefer Sauerbeck or Eyre. That would be a great offseason, imo, even without the LOOGY.
  9. Hey guys, can we please talk about signing Brian Giles instead? I'm hungry and 2000 miles from Chicago, no chance at any good pizza so this conversation is not cool.
  10. Touchdown USC, 3-yard run for LenDale White. My fantasy team would have been happier if Reggie Bush had punched it in the previous play. They key play on the drive was TE Dominique Byrd rumbling for a 52-yard pass. USC up 14-7, 2:02 left in the first quarter.
  11. Alabama beats Ole Miss on a FG as time expires, 13-10. ND ties it up at 7.
  12. It would be helpful to others on the board if you could explain your perspective. Do you have numbers, anecdotes, or something else to support your dislike of Scoscia? I don't think anyone in their right mind would hand Rob Quinlann a job over Dallas McPherson. I don't think many managers would still have Darren Erstad playing over Casey Kotchman. I think being in a terrible division with a huge payroll makes him look a lot better than he is. Dallas is injured and out for the year, he was playing when healthy. I wouldn't start Erstad over Kotchman either, no matter how many intangibles Erstad has. I don't like Scioscia's lineup constructions - he has a Dusty-esque ignorance of OBP, especially at the top of the lineup (OC or Erstad batting second!?). Some will criticize his bullpen management, especially in the ALDS the past two years, but I don't really think it's that bad. All in all, Scioscia is an above average manager, and a good fit for a more pitching and small ball oriented team. But yeah, Scioscia is definitely very popular amongst Angels fans. I'd say Bochy is very popular amongst the majority of Padre fans too.
  13. TOUCHDOWN REGGIE BUSH! My fantasy team loves it! USC up 7-0. I feel sick being happy with the Trojans scoring, but huzzah!
  14. Notre Dame runs the flea flicker to perfection to Keith Rivers - a USC linebacker. :D
  15. Escobar, Donnelly and Rodriguez will not go down that easily. If needed, they'll sign Gagne and Duaner Sanchez from the other LA team too for an all-goggle bullpen.

  17. After the Washington and Cal game, I don't think fumbles are allowed near the endzone. Maybe it's just something that you have to call against UCLA.
  18. Say hi to Doug! Have fun! I'll bop him with my thundersticks. :o I think you should print out 1000 copies of your avatar to be passed out at the game. Courtesy an Angels blog, Pearly Gates: link. Or, a blog dedicated to Doug.
  19. That's such a wonderful pitcture. :)
  20. I live in LA and get to choose from the Dominos and Little Ceaser's of the world. Let me tell you, I enjoy my visits to Chicago as much for the Giordano's and Lou Malnati's as much as seeing my extended family.
  21. Say hi to Doug! Have fun! I'll bop him with my thundersticks. :o
  22. OK, now I know you don't know anything about pizza. Makes me understand. It might be my ego talking but I probably know more about food then anybody else on this forum. Why do you apparently know more about food than anybody else?
  23. Down 2-1, the Angels are forced to turn to hard-throwing rookie Ervin Santana (regular season: 12-08, 4.65 ERA; ALDS: 1-0, 5.06 ERA, 5.1 IP). The White Sox counter with Freddy Garcia (14-8, 3.87 ERA; ALDS: 1-0, 5.40 ERA, 5 IP). Game-time weather: 69°F and partly cloudy, with patchy fog (marine layer!) after sunset. Winds will be blowing out from 15-20 mph. I'll be at the game, dressed in red. :) GO ANGELS!!
