    If I wasn't dying to see USC beat UCLA by 3 scores before, I am now. UCLA has got to be the most overrated top-10 team I've seen all year. We've been winning ugly the last 3 weeks and it's bound to end sometime, but I'll enjoy this now. Thank goodness we don't play Oregon this year. Personally, I think UCLA has as good a shot as ever to beat USC this year. It's the Oregon States and Arizona States that worry me right now. But you must give some credit to UCLA (especially Karl Dorrell, Drew Olson and Mo Drew) for getting UCLA to comeback despite being down late in the 4th quarter in each of their last 3 games.

    That's fine. But this ignores the fact that Trib has allowed the Cubs to spend ~$100 million a year. While we might not agree with the moves Jim Hendry makes, he obviously is already doing what he thinks gives the Cubs the best chance to win. These things won't change if the Sox win the World Series. EDIT: Maybe I should read what Tim posts before posting.

    A continuation of the Royal's policy of moving every decent position prospect to first base. Isn't their current top prospect a 3B? Maybe they're anticipating Gordon and Butler being at the same level next year? Billy Butler was moved from 3B to LF this year, apparently he really isn't that good on D. I've read that he too could end up at first base.

    I would think some Brave fans wouldn't like Cox because of his lack of success in the playoffs (I wouldn't be one of those if I had to be a Braves fan).

    To be fair, the guy was very drunk. I hope he wouldn't have been like that if he was sober. And I have family members who are White Sox fans who are wonderful people - in fact, I'd probably root for the Sox if they get to the Series because I'd love to see them happy.

    The Angels, facing elimination, send out Game 1 winner Paul Byrd (regular season: 12-11, 3.74 ERA; playoffs: 1-0, 5.58 ERA, 9.2 IP). The White Sox counter with their only starter not to throw a complete game this series - Jose Contreras (regular season: 15-7, 3.61 ERA; playoffs: 1-1, 2.81 ERA, 16 IP). The weather will be a big factor: Game-time weather- 66°F, 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, winds blowing out to LF at 7 mph. They will probably try their best to get the game in tomorrow since they're expecting heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout Monday.

    Is there more details to the punching incident? lol. Sorry it wasn't a great game. WhiteSox fans are total jerks. I was at the game in May Maddux vs. Garcia at Wrigley, & in the 9th this one Sox fan was chanting really loudly 'Cubs Suck'. This teenager starts telling him to sit down & let us watch the game. So he takes her Cubbie bear claw thing & rips it. Then when security came to take him, he wouldn't move & his wife was literally clinging to his back. Like I said- jerks. The idiot got ready to punch an Angels fan who had told him to "shut up" and the usher saw that and stopped him. The Sox fan then tried to punch the usher twice while trying to be held down by him. The usher gave up trying to restrain him after the second punch attempt and just punched him.

    That sucked. From the Angels and the umps sucking to having beer thrown at my Cubs hat by a White Sox fan and then hearing him yell racist remarks at my mom and me. At least the security guard sucker punched that idiot.

    Haha, I heard UCLA won in OT after looking like poop most of the game - being down 21 in the second half and down 17 in the 4th quarter. :) Wish I had Tivo'd the game And I saw Leinart scramble in on the jumbotron at Angel Stadium, good to see Notre Dame lose. :)

    USC better come back and win in the second half (start by giving the ball to LenDale a few more times, USC). And UCLA better win in Pullman. On that note, I'm off to the Angels game down in Anaheim.
