  1. Fresno State gets a good stop against the USC offense and is now driving. :)
  2. You have got to be kidding me. ....confused... Do you really not think poll bias plus the fact that ND would have ended The Streak would have pushed them into the title game? Reggie Bush had no influence on that play, Leinart would have scored anyways. That's what I was talking about.
  3. You have got to be kidding me.
  4. Of course Dennis Dixon's ability to scramble makes him a much different QB to guard than Kellen Clemens. I think Oregon will be fine now that Dixon has had some playing time, he's come a long way the past few weeks and is great throwing and running now. The Dixon-ledoffense is responsible for 35 of the points thus far tonight. Oregon still has the playmakers: Whitehead, Stewart, Williams, Finley, Colvin and Dixon at QB. Outside of the Arizona game, they really haven't played any worse than they had at any other point this year. UCLA is going to beat you with a great offense that rarely turns the ball over and a defense that's putrid against the run that hopes for a big play late in the game.
  5. Miami up 10-7 on Georgia Tech at the half, they were losing 7-3 before scoring late in the 2nd quarter.
  6. That was the most Irish completion in NCAA history. Haha, awesome.
  7. It's so foggy in Eugene that I watched Jonathan Stewart take the opening kickoff all the way for Oregon and didn't have known what was going on until the camera really zoomed in (when Stewart was 20 yards out).
  8. UCLA beat Temple last Thursday, but C Micheal Fey (shoulder) and PG Jordan Farmar (sprained ankle) got hurt. So many injuries. :( UCLA is going to MSG to meet Memphis for the rest of the NIT next week.
  9. Because it can be hot in LA during the day, because both UCLA and USC will draw more fans for night games. And thank goodness USC plays night games, I often go by the 110 and 10 in downtown during Saturday afternoons and don't want to deal with the traffic that games at the Coliseum create.
  10. West Coast rivalry games: The Civil War: Oregon up 28-7 on OSU in a ridiculously foggy Eugene at the half. OSU's Matt Moore was benched. The Big Game: Cal up 6-3 on Stanford at the half in Stanford. Cal's Joe Ayoob was benched.
  11. Shocked that Dope and Moore were protected (in regards to Dope - maybe Hendry decided not to gamble over a big name prospect who struggled in high A this time after what happened to Sisco). Disappointed that Sing wasn't protected.
  12. There's a lot of sniping and bickering going on in this thread, please drop it. If you have a problem with a poster or you think there are double standards, etc., please take it up with a mod by PMing one of us so we know.
  13. Some of their righties have good splits against lefty hitters (too lazy too look up stats, but Shields comes to mind).
  14. I want Eyre. Just not for 3 years. Nor at $3 million each year.
  15. I would guess this poll was created based on my away message, but it wasn't humid today in LA.
  16. Oh yes.
  17. Wow, you even check in here when you're on vacation. Sweet! :D
  18. Well thought out, brinoch. Get a little something for the pen and that's one hell of an offseason for the Cubs.
  19. Could possibly be the first time since Carroll was hired that Plaschke wrote something bad about USC. With USC's depleted LB corpse, it was much harder for Carroll to take action against Maualuga. Is this a somewhat big story out there, or is it no big deal? It's big when the pro-USC folks are writing front page stories about it.

  21. UCLA wins it 83-70. :) Sophomore Arron Afflalo was a beast, redshirt senior Cedric Bozeman looked good, the freshmen (outside of the most hyped one - Wright) have looked good. Still no inside presence on offense. And Steve Lavin predicted UCLA would win the Pac-10 at halftime. I have Stanford finishing ahead of UCLA.
  22. Felix is still on the Licey roster. 60 ABs: .217/.260/.367/.627 11 SO, 3 BB Carlos Marmol: 1.2 IP, 4 G, 1 ER, 0 H, 3 BB, 1 K, 5.39 ERA
  23. You can throw out the record books when Bowling Green meets Miami, OH. I'd like to throw them at the folks who work at ESPN2, but thankfully, the UCLA game is on. Go Bruins!
  24. Awesome, both ESPN2 and ESPN2 Alternate are carrying the Bowling Green - Miami, Ohio football game, rather than the New Mexico State - UCLA basketball game.
