  1. USC gets bailed out on 4th down on a BS pass interference call.
  2. Cal kicks a 45-yard FG to make it 7-3.
  3. USC turns the interception into a 7-0 lead with 7:15 to go in the first quarter (LenDale White run).
  4. Joe Ayoob is a pathetic quarterback. He throws it straight to Darnell Bing while Cal is driving. USC ball near midfield in the first quarter.
  5. I'll take the first option everyday and twice on Sundays. What if Lugo cost the Cubs Pie? Then the Devil Rays will keep BJ Upton in the minors for another year because no one would trade for Lugo at that cost. He will cost some team some talent Raisin, maybe not Pie talent but some pretty decent talent. Agreed, but the DRays aren't getting a top-25 MLB prospect for him. They're more likely to get something like Hill and Nolasco for him.

  7. Me neither. I'm sure Hendry would prefer the tools of Austin Kearns.
  8. He's played quite a few games for Licey since the ankle injury and doesn't seem to have any lingering issues with the ankle.
  9. On Pie’s Defense: On Pie’s Power Potential: On his Ability to Win: And, of course, the DiamondJaxx went to the championship this year. I believe that they would have won it had Pie been able to play. I repeat that Pie is going to be a star. Plus, he's a fun-loving, exciting young man. He's exactly the kind of player that wee all love to root for. He plays with heart, effort, and joy. So enough with the Pie for Pierre suggestions. It would be nothing short than a collossal mistake to make such a move. And while I am all for targetting Dunn or Abreu, I would do everything I could to get one of them without trading Felix. Don't forget that Mesa, Boise, Lansing and Daytona all won it all with Felix.
  10. Only if you tell me who is in your avatar.
  11. I was aware that he spend some time focusing more on football, and didn't primarily dedicate himself to baseball until close to the end of high school, but, correct me if I'm wrong, he still played in little league and other various organized leagues as a kid growing up, didn't he? Most kids I grew up with that concentrated more on Football still played baseball because football isn't year-round. He just didn't make baseball his first priority until later, unless I'm mistaken. That, IMO, would give him a big jump over where Pie was coming from. I'm sure Corey did that, my point is he didn't get proper coaching and put in proper focus till his senior year. Thus, while not as raw as Felix, he's more raw than many first round draft picks.
  12. I remember them really wanting Hill, not Pie. Trading Hill is fine. Why not trade Harvey instead of Pie? Pie can help the team next year, Harvey is three years away. Because Harvey's value has slipped a bit.
  13. Actually, Corey didn't focus on baseball till his senior year in HS, the year before the Cubs drafted him, so it's not like he had such a big advantage on Felix. Before that, I believe he spent more time focusing on his WR skills playing football. But the point stands, Felix is very raw. His strike zone awareness is equivalent, if not worse, than Corey's was at AA. And he's much worse on the base paths. But, he put up better overall numbers at AA than Corey. He does need to work on the plate discipline big time (and he's struggled with that with Licey) or else he could meet the same fate as Corey.
  14. Agreed. 3 years would be perfect for Giles.
  15. What he said. Name the last time Hendry traded the best prospect in the organization and got fleeced. (no, the Dontrelle trade does not qualify) Cruz for Pratt? If Juan Cruz is the best prospect in our organization, or if he ever was, then I shudder at the thought of the future of the Cubs. "Two years ago, Juan Cruz ranked with Mark Prior as the top prospects in the Cubs farm system. But Cruz has been unable to claim a spot in Chicago's rotation and the club tired of waiting for him to live up to his potential. On Thursday, the Cubs stopped waiting, trading him and minor league lefthander Steve Smyth to the Braves for two prospects, lefty Andy Pratt and second baseman Richard Lewis." From Baseball America. :| He was also the #6 prospect in ALL OF BASEBALL in 2002 according to BA, ahead of Mark Teixeira and Joe Mauer among others. I am intrigued as to what anyone in Baseball America saw in Cruz. Apart from his impressive first start late in 2001, he never once did anything close to living up to his potential. What they saw was him dominate the minor leagues at a young age with a 95+ mph fastball, a solid changeup and a killer slider. He deserved all the props he got. He hasn't lived up to it, but that doesn't mean they were wrong. Of course that was before Age Gate caught up with Juan.
  16. Those things they wore last Thanksgiving were hideous.
  17. Did you see the numbers Outshined posted? They were ugly.
  18. surely you jest!?! From what I've seen, SAS just states whatever the mainstream media is saying at the time (e.g. OMG PATS R SO GOOD!!!111) and says it with an urban accent. Viewing his ridiculous attire is just a bonus. Quite Frankly, I don't care for him. Stephen A. Smith is the worst thing on television. Hater.
  19. Notice how Von Joshua is spelled V-o-n J-o-s-h-u-a and not C-l-i-n-e-s/S-a-r-g-e Congrats, Atlanta or Texas. You'll get a fixed Corey for cheap!
  20. The Warriors are good this year.
  21. For ESPN standards, getting those last 2 is pretty impressive.
  22. And that is because they shipped him to ESPN2... I was referring to the ESPN umbrella. He's propping up the Deuce. I know. I was just giving your misguided man love the business. Misguided my rear end.
