  1. I'm not married, but I'd definitely ditch my girlfriend for anything Cubs related. She's a Sox fan.
  2. I have noticed that he is pretty quick to first base. I think he is fastest Cub pitcher. lawl, thats like a sexual joke right?
  3. This isn't about Wrigley Field, where I'm pretty sure they do cut off after the seventh, this is about the bars around Wrigley, which only have to abide by what the city liquor laws state. This crap that Daley is trying to do smacks of him just continuing his war against the Cubs. I realize that its about the bars and not Wrigley, but the general idea of "let's cut off the fans before the end of the game" idea isn't like something completely new. Realistically any fans at the bars in Wrigleyville will be an extension of the fan base at the actual stadium. No matter what they do though, everyone is going to go crazy when the Cubs win a big series, and some idiots will take it too far, even if they haven't drank for two innings.
  4. It's not like a totally unprecedented idea. Don't many if not most ballparks, or other sporting stadiums for that matter, cut of alcohol sales at some point before the end of the game? I mean if the Cubs clinch in Wrigley, no doubt there is going to be a crazy mob and a lot of public damage, there are a lot of idiots out there. Cutting off sales isn't the only way to help prevent it. They'll need to beef up security big time.
  5. We can't hate Kosuke. That would be racist.
  6. Was Geo just crying?
  7. But they both speak Mexican.
  8. If only Mark Prior had known Geo's mom.... Geo will be fine. Nothing really matters until October. I thought Soto was from Puetro Rico. What's the difference? /ignorance ftw
  9. My friend and I signed up for all the potential post season lotteries. He won the Mets lottery. Really good chance we play them. I have a free flight to use with Southwest, but he's not sure he can afford the plane tickets out there. I really don't want to go to New York for my first time alone. Basically I'm really hoping my friend bucks up and buys the plane tickets so I can see the Cubs in the playoffs.
  10. Add our 1-2-3-4-5 and we probably have the best starting rotation in baseball!
  11. Come on defense scores at least one touchdown.
  12. Good. Its ugly. All Blue. Get rid of the blue jerseys too.
  13. Knowing how quickly MacPhail moves, we would be lucky to get him by January. If its for the purpose of a salary dump, I could see him moving quickly. Of course, the Cubs and Orioles have a recent history of trades that dont really benefit anyone IE Sosa, Patterson, Traschle. Pffft, does the name Mike Fotenot mean anything to you!
  14. We'll see if I can catch some games this year. While in STL I get WGN, but a lot of times we don't actually get the Chicago games. If I get a few, I may try to watch, but its hard to closely follow four major sports let alone the three I follow now.
  15. Don't know the rules, strategy, players, etc. Is it because you were never interested in learning? Not being a jerk, just asking. Pretty much, wsith the Blackhawks being relevant I have taken some effort to learn about the stars but nothing real deep, just basic stuff.
  16. Don't know the rules, strategy, players, etc.
  17. Good News!
  18. Pick Rose. Use Hinrich and Deng as the basic starting block to get a proven version of Beasley - Carmelo Anthony (if Denver seriously considers trading him) Rose/Thabo Gordon/Thabo Melo/Nocioni Gooden/Thomas/Nocioni Noah/Gooden/Gray
  19. Still not convinced.
  20. This is pissing off a lot of Cardinal's fans too.
  21. I'll go with... .211/.287/.350 with 2 HRs in 30 games. .231/.333/.344
  22. The experience thing is overrated. Phil Jackson, Popovich, Rudy T, and Pat Riley, who have accounted for the majority (all but two) of the NBA Championships in the past twenty years won a championship during their first head coaching job. Riley in his first season, Jackson, Popovich, and Rudy T in their second(full) season. These Bulls aren't a championship team, but it's something to think about.
  23. Predictionn: I'm drunk well hey, at least some predictions come true.
  24. Is that Lloyd? lol cut him
