  1. O-Line please I'd like some O-Line depth to eventually replace some of our older guys, but a line of: Williams, Beekman, Kreutz, Garza, and Tait should do for next year. Having an OLine that "should do" should not be good enough for us. The Bears offensive talent isn't good enough for an okay line. With their weak talent, and no chance of significant improvement in the offseason, the only realistic way they can be very good next year is with a really good line. Really good lines can turn mediocre teams into division winners. That is the only way this core Bears group will ever win during the Lovie/Angelo era. There is no magic receiver or QB on the market or in the draft to fix their problems. Well, ideally, with Williams stepping up, replacing St. Clair, and playing like a first round talent, our line should already see a big upgrade. We will have multiple needs, so not every one can be a top priority. Assuming Williams provides the necessary boost, any activity on the offensive line should be lower round picks to add depth and learn under the current guys until they can take over. We have to balance the line between winning now and setting up for the future. Considering other needs, I think the line falls under, setting up for the future.

  3. Wide Receiver and DB should be the main targets through draft and free agency.
  4. I expect the Yankees to swoop in with a larger offer. Let's be honest.
  5. I used Firefox for a long time, but youtube videos were giving me issues where I'd exit out of the tab and the sound from the video would still be playing. Really annoying. Anyways, I switched to Chrome and like it a lot. The only thing I really miss is ad-block.
  6. Wow, I had a complete brain fart moment and my mind was thinking of the AL East even though I was reading AL West. Nevermind.
  7. The only reason moving Marquis would have been good was to free salary for Peavy. If we aren't getting Peavy there's really no point. I'll take the depth, thanks. Thats assuming you can't get fair value for him. But dumping him would be stupid.
  8. Wait, I'm confused by this thread title, the AL West is freaking stacked.
  9. You'd be surprised. If you have access to HD, you've gotta watch it. The Penguins/Sabres outside game was incredible on HD, whether youl ike hockey or not. The snow falling during the game was amazing looking. My brother hates hockey and he watched the whole thing. I heard of a klot of peopleo n TV saying the same stuff. If you're got HD, you've gotta watch it Well either way I'll be skiing. Maybe I'll record it and watch later. Probably not though.
  10. This does seem like it would be a cool thing to attend, but as far as watching on t.v.... no thanks. Plus, I think I'll be skiing that day.
  11. As long as it is a minor league deal.
  12. I would guess they aren't good enough to play on a minor league team, don't want to play independent minor league baseball, and don't want to give up baseball. Total guess though.
  13. Good Luck Kerry. I may have a second favorite team now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/snetsrak43/woodindians.jpg
  14. The deal is done and I have proof: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/snetsrak43/peavycubs.jpg
  15. Wait nevermind http://blog.wired.com/photos/uncategorized/2007/11/15/santa.jpg Santa is evil.
  16. you're missing the point No I understand the point that Christmas doesn't have to be religious but you are the missing the point that you don't have to celebrate Christmas. I have found memories from childhood and none of them involve Christmas. I know I had a good childhood and never resented or was upset that I didn't get to celebrate Christmas. The idea that Christmas is a must and any kid who doesn't celebrate it must be deprived is beyond idiotic. That's extreme ignorance of other traditions, religions and cultures. It's this type of thinking that leads to wars. You think people can't live without what you believe they need and eventually try to force it on people and they resist. Wake up realize there is more than one way to think about Christmas and that millions in this country alone grow up without it and turn out just fine. Christmas causes wars?
  17. Donnie's source could be Jim Hendry or Towers himself and he could still end up being wrong about it, so you can't get your hopes up no matter what.
  18. This guy knows. http://www.americaniconautographs.com/000_0031.JPG Donnie may or may not be right, but I agree a pic probably won't prove much.
  19. IF it is true Theriot is involved, perhaps the Cubs want to wait until FA Friday in which they will attempt to lock up a SS right away (Furcal), so they can give away Theriot with more confidence. That would be a sexy conference (Peavy and Furcal). /hopeful random baseless speculation from no where
  20. I just don't know why this hasn't been done yet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/snetsrak43/peavycubs.jpg
  21. Yea, I really don't get this resign Dempster idea if we get Peavy, unless he is willing to give the Cubs a significant hometown deal (in years and value).
  22. If we had Scott Eyre, we would have won the World Series.
