  1. 1. Obviously the threat that he might sign an extension with NJ (or Denver) is hard to tell. That is kind of a big wild card. I'm kind of assuming the threat was real enough. 2. Consider that Chandler would be renounced to sign Melo, so that means nothing. Felton for Billups is close enough. Then they gave up Gallo who's best position is SF, which Melo plays. Mosgov is no big deal. The 2014 pick sucks in the context that the Knicks have given up so many picks, but just considering it in this deal, is not of huge value. Anthony Randolph was out of the rotation, so they haven't lost anything there. Curry is obviously filler. 3. Obviously depth is shot. They got some other players back though, including Brewer from Minnesota (which wasn't in initial reports). If they really want to they will only need to run 7-8 in the playoffs. As I've stated before though, they can rebuild that depth in FA. 4. Having no picks is bad, but that reality isn't because of this deal.
  2. It doesn't improve their standing in the East. They are still going to be a the 5th best team at best. For this year, maybe. Once they get a chance to recoup some depth through FA, they will rise in the standings. That is assuming they make the right moves. They could blow it still at this point, but if they don't improve next season and into the future it won't be because of this trade.
  3. Did you not get the memo? Gallo is a 6'10" Larry Bird. Some Knicks fans, yea, but even from other team's fans who wouldn't think to overrate Gallo that much think the Knicks are a joke. Something doesn't compute.
  4. Good deal for th Knicks. The general consensus on RealGM is that they gave up too much. I don't get it...
  5. I think some people are taking the muscle part too literally. It probably means that the play gained 20 pounds, primarily through improving muscle mass and maintaining/lowering body fat.
  6. So pumped.
  7. Not sure if this was posted or not, but its certainly interesting and if this guy is right than Cutler is actually probably one of the toughest QBs in the league. Of course anyone who watched him take a beating on sacks and never slide on a QB run probably knew he wasn't a wuss. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmqOSu0Ngz8&feature=player_embedded
  8. yay relevance to my user name?
  9. Its not that.. Many old men died without realizing their dreams. Ron earned his dream though.
  10. RIP Ron Screw the veterans committee, I don't even want him in anymore.
  11. So who's the bigger loser here, the MWC or Boise State?
  12. Deng has been fantastic. My worry is that Rose has been pretty "meh". And he wasn't great at the World Championships either. Just hoping that its because its just pre season and he'll pick it up during the season.
  13. I think a cast on his finger could severely limit his ability to handle the ball in the post or make clean shots. And if he isn't good on offense, he doesn't provide much value. Even his rebounding would be effected.
  14. Come on guys, what do you think us drafting Webb was. We're totally filling that need.
  15. lol - so because you have never hurt yourself while drunk, you don't think it's possible for someone else to do so? That can't really be your argument, but that's pretty much what you just said. Well I realize its still possible, but it seems to happen a lot for a small pool of people. Maybe it doesn't actually happen as much as it seems to, I don't know. And while I did just reference myself, that also goes out to all the very drunken people I spent time with as well. I think I can only remember one person breaking a bone because they fell while they were drunk. Seems to happen to several athletes from various sports every year.
  16. His first year was pretty good though.
  17. Are you speculating, or did you hear this reported?
  18. Also, while I never buy the, "I tripped" excuse, I've been very very drunk before and never managed to injure myself too seriously. Some bumps and bruises is about it. I guess they have more weight coming down on their bones when they fall, but I'm not light guy either. So whats the deal?
  19. Wait I have yet to see a source that said he did it tripping or whatever. Where did you read that? Nevermind, found it.
  20. I think he meant down to the last one.
  21. Hurt or refusing to play with the o-line?
  22. Second half. Run the ball. Every play.
  23. Briggs didn't stand out as much to me this week, but that may just be because Urlacher was just all over the place and stood out more.
