  1. Would have loved some OL too, but gotta love that value here. At this point, just have to expect us to keep going BPA. Address the OL with some FA and get a couple developmental guys with UDFA if you don't draft any, but anyone we pick now isn't likely to make an immediae impact.
  2. Brandon Spikes in the 4th would be ridiculous. There's always a chance for someone to fall but that is two rounds lower than almost everyone says he is valued at. He's as slow as some OT's. He could fall.
  3. I question how much Williams could actually bring us, but if we can get a decent pick out of it, sure.
  4. The stuff I've read says he is a 4-3 NT as well. He certainly has athleticism, not just size.
  5. The Bulls are bad at rebounding. what? they finished first in the league in total rebounds per game. Poor stat. The Bulls are at least average at rebounding though.
  6. No chance. Cavs won't get blown out.

  9. Not without a sign in trade in which Deng or Hinrich and some combination went out in exchange. I don't want Wade though to be perfectly honest. Him and Rose's skills will not compliment each other at all and each will be less effective. If the Bulls want the best bang for their buck this offseason (outside of Lebron of course) they should target Bosh as their main FA. Him and Ros playing pick and roll would be awesome. Just add some additional shooters and defenders. After signing Wade or Bosh by the way, we'd have roughly $4.3M to spend on another FA piece. Totally agree on hoping they end up with Bosh as opposed to Wade. Is that $4.3 million with the raised cap? Yes, it is based on a 56.1M cap figure. It also assumes that Chris Richard's salary next year is completely unguranteed, which I assume it is. At worst, you'd have to add an additional cap liability of $380,785, which is the difference of having Richard's salary as a cap hold, and having the minimum salary as a cap hold. First rounders do. Although, they can sign anywhere within I believe +-20% of that cap hold, and almost everyone gets the +20% number, so their actual salary will be larger than the hold.

But has Jerry done that the last couple of years, or just for Cutler? Yea, I thought it was an odd quote since Cutler was really the only example of dealing a first. They did give up a second for Gaines Adams though, so who knows.
  11. Little tidbit from Jeff Risdon at RealGM in his "25 Fearless Draft Predictions" article. Read more: http://football.realgm.com/src_twelfthwriter/61/20100420/25_fearless_draft_predictions/#ixzz0ln6nKAR7
  12. True. I'll be watching.
  13. Why did you include the NFL draft. Are the Bears trading up?
  14. Sure, but the Bulls only need to get 1. It's not like the Knicks have a higher max amount they can offer. Let's say Bosh is deciding between the Knicks and the Bulls: both teams can pay him the same. Sure, the Knicks may have also signed someone like a Joe Johnson, but the Bulls already have Rose and Noah. The Knicks aren't really going to blow away anyone in terms of being a destination unless that first max FA is LeBron. Yes, but they will drive up the prices of players who might not really be deserving of a max contract. Just hope we land Bosh though, and we don't have to worry about it.
  15. Only if we are getting something useful out of it. If it's just for salary fillers, I'l pass. Hinrich will not hurt us in our ability to retain Rose or Noah, so dumping him only hurts our team.
  16. Milwaukee has the right to swap their pick (#17) with our pick (#15), which they will do.

I want the best team and the Bulls have plenty of money to spend. Well, sorry, bang for buck was a stupid term to use in this context because Wade and Bosh will both get the same MAX contract. Bosh will make us a better team than Wade, despite the fact that Wade is probably a bit better. Just not as good of a fit. The reason I originally said bang for buck was because I was thinking about other PF options such as Boozer, Lee, and Amare. Bosh will provide to be more valuable than them as well, and potentially cheaper as well.
  19. I complained about this move on my facebook status. The first response: "What if he became a sick closer"

  21. I don't know, but whats the fastest that a team's opening day starter for the past 6 years with a career ERA of 3.56 and a salary of $17M+ was moved to the pen?
  22. Jeff Green is a very versatile defender and better scorer. Noah is a much better rebounder. Noah can play a premium position, while Green is a combo forward, which are a dime a dozen, so I can see why you'd say Noah. Maybe I was just playing it cautious so as to not come over as overly biased. maybe im biased because im sick of watching PFs destroy jeff green in the paint (not really his fault, he's not a PF) and then watching him sit his ass on the 3 point line the entire game on offense. Oh and get 6 rebounds per game. i would give green and at least one of our first rounders for noah without even blinking But that does have partially something to do with fit. With Kevin Durant, Green can't play SF, where his rebounding wouldn't be as much of a liability, and OKC really needs a solid big man. So a lot of teams would probably like Noah just because capable big men are harder to find in general, but Green is pretty talented.
  23. Oh hell yes. I hope this also means no more orange jersey, since I presume we won't use more than one alternate
