  1. I said the same thing, but it was in reference to our weak d. Game is being played on NBATV at 3pm tomorrow according to my Comcast menu. I may record it and check it out if i have time after work. (Edit- it says its only an hour, which means they must play it commercial free, straight through. no fast forwarding? awesome if so)
  2. I think you're remembering wrong, but I don't have game tape to prove it, so I'm not gonna keep trying to convince you otherwise.
  3. Well someone is remembering the game wrong, because I remember a couple Granger shots with a hand in his face and then a whole lot of open looks.
  4. The Bulls for the most part weren't playing the type of defense that made them the best defensive team in the league for the first 44 minutes. So yes, I believe it to be true. Will they hit 60% if we play d like that again? Its possible. Like I said, it was a good shooting night, but to say they shot out of their minds or unbelievable is an exaggeration. If we let a real playoff team get those looks we could expect them to hit 60% throughout a series. There were some contested shots made, mostly by Granger, who is their best offensive player, so you go in expecting a some shots like that from him. If we put a hand in front of Hansboroughs face and he hit those same shots, I'd call it unbelievable.
  5. Granger is a talented offensive player. He is a guy who I expect to hit a couple tough shots. Don't forget this guy averaged 25ppg at one point. There's shooting out of your mind, there's having a good shooting night, and there's making shots NBA players are supposed to make. The Pacers were somewhere in between 2 and 3. I've seen teams shoot out of their minds against the Bulls, and this just wasn't one of those times.
  6. They're going to shoot lights out for 44 minutes every game? God I hope not. They hardly shot lights out. The Bulls weren't contesting them very well. If you don't expect Hansborough to hit a jumper over a dummy (ie Boozer without a hand in his face), you were underrating Tyler. They were basically hitting open shots.
  7. It is pretty crazy. Even with two of them being end of quarter threes. Thats still 0 for 7 on "normal threes" His 3 looked really bad though. It does not have nearly enough lift on it. He only took one other non 3PT jumpshot, which he made. Everything else was in the paint. And some people on the NBA forums are saying its some conspiracy he got to the line 21 times.
  8. I think the moment he became the third option on the team he became very good. Earlier in the year he was inconsistent and then once Boozer came back he was a completely different player. Deng is really bad when you give him the ball and ask him to create his own shot. He'll turn it over or get swatted a lot. But he's great within the Bulls system. And he actually realizes what his strengths and weaknesses are, which helps a lot. He still looks awkward as hell, but he's actually been surprisingly effective this year at creating his own shot. If it works it works.
  9. This I definitely agree with. But I won't care if he improves next season and doesn't get it. Especially if there is a guy who has similar "qualifications" as Rose this year.
  10. I'll take the Ravens as I have in the past unless an actual Ravens fan comes along.
  11. This hit really close to home for me. I have grown up my whole life visiting Saugatuck, MI which is the town right next to Fenneville and worked there for 4 summers throughout college. I worked with a lot of Fenneville graduates and some still current students last summer. So some of my former co-workers are classmates with him. Needless to say my prayers are with all my friends in the area.
  12. I actually feel bad for Pistons fans. Thats how embarrassing those players are. What a bunch of losers. None of those guys who "protested" deserve to play another minute this season.
  13. ha, don't get me started, I could go off on about 20 tangents... i would argue that felton is a huge loss long-term. huge. I believe he is replaceable. The combination of Amare and D'Antoni's system is making him look better than he is.
  14. ha, don't get me started, I could go off on about 20 tangents...
  15. 1. Obviously the threat that he might sign an extension with NJ (or Denver) is hard to tell. That is kind of a big wild card. I'm kind of assuming the threat was real enough. 2. Consider that Chandler would be renounced to sign Melo, so that means nothing. Felton for Billups is close enough. Then they gave up Gallo who's best position is SF, which Melo plays. Mosgov is no big deal. The 2014 pick sucks in the context that the Knicks have given up so many picks, but just considering it in this deal, is not of huge value. Anthony Randolph was out of the rotation, so they haven't lost anything there. Curry is obviously filler. 3. Obviously depth is shot. They got some other players back though, including Brewer from Minnesota (which wasn't in initial reports). If they really want to they will only need to run 7-8 in the playoffs. As I've stated before though, they can rebuild that depth in FA. 4. Having no picks is bad, but that reality isn't because of this deal.
  16. It doesn't improve their standing in the East. They are still going to be a the 5th best team at best. For this year, maybe. Once they get a chance to recoup some depth through FA, they will rise in the standings. That is assuming they make the right moves. They could blow it still at this point, but if they don't improve next season and into the future it won't be because of this trade.
  17. Did you not get the memo? Gallo is a 6'10" Larry Bird. Some Knicks fans, yea, but even from other team's fans who wouldn't think to overrate Gallo that much think the Knicks are a joke. Something doesn't compute.
  18. Good deal for th Knicks. The general consensus on RealGM is that they gave up too much. I don't get it...
  19. I think some people are taking the muscle part too literally. It probably means that the play gained 20 pounds, primarily through improving muscle mass and maintaining/lowering body fat.
  20. So pumped.
  21. Not sure if this was posted or not, but its certainly interesting and if this guy is right than Cutler is actually probably one of the toughest QBs in the league. Of course anyone who watched him take a beating on sacks and never slide on a QB run probably knew he wasn't a wuss. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmqOSu0Ngz8&feature=player_embedded
  22. yay relevance to my user name?
  23. Its not that.. Many old men died without realizing their dreams. Ron earned his dream though.
  24. RIP Ron Screw the veterans committee, I don't even want him in anymore.
