  1. No, I'm saying its' a stupid ask. Why-wouldn't it be a good thing for the players?
  2. Intuatively it doesn't make sense for players to limit their demands, so is your stance that they are focusing on that demand in lieu of more impactful demands? I'm saying it's a stupid ask for the MLBPA. It does nothing good for the MLBPA. It will help a handful of players play more often, but it will not be a net positive for the entirety of the players association. Owners framing it as a concession is good PR for owners. So you do think the players should limit certain demands? I don't see the harm in throwing the whole book of demands out there. If the argument is they left out bigger ones, by all means that's dumb to negotiate against yourself, but asking for more isn't bad.
  3. It's a January rule change that Manfred himself mentioned was gaining ownership support last summer. It's a net positive for the game, probably a mild improvement to players by making a few FA more palatable and capturing a few arbitration dollars with the extra PA, not doing it just because you're worried about how it impacts the optics of a strike when the bad faith from owners is so visible and obvious would be silly. It's not like they can overhaul service time or the luxury tax with these pre-season rule tweaks. It has been framed in a way that this is an ownership concession to players. And that's bad. I didn't say they shouldn't agree to it happening. I said asking for it is dumb. Intuatively it doesn't make sense for players to limit their demands, so is your stance that they are focusing on that demand in lieu of more impactful demands?
  4. Theo's insider information: Schwarber is a good baseball player (and passable LF)
  5. Lots of whispers/rumors of the Bulls actively shoppinh players and listening on basically everyone except Lauri. On the edge of my seat to see how much cash considerations they can net.
  6. Bryce Harper has signed with the NE Patriots. They didn't have an open roster spot until after the playoffs ended.
  7. Plus playing in the most boring Super Bowl ever and all.
  8. What an awful super bowl all around.
  9. Damn, that's a lot of likes.
  10. Is it the 3.6 per or the 0.383 TS% I don’t expect him to be any good at all but he’s not some 37 year old vet or some euroleague draft pick that’s never coming over. He has at least a minute amount of potential. Thus non-zero value He will probably struggle to stay in the league after this season. He's a former first rounder who had his 4th year option declined. There's probably dozens of G leaguers available to sign for the minimum who offer the same or better potential. He has zero value.
  11. They actually got a player this time who has a non-zero value. Is it the 3.6 per or the 0.383 TS%
  12. Could Theo's fourteenth minor league reliever signing be interesting?
  13. Wtf kind of tweet is that. Why is this significant enough to post?
  14. The Bulls traded for more cash considerations lol.
  15. Maybe they're grooming him to try to run for governor in Illinois. He's now the finance chair for the Republican National Committee. And Illinois apparently loves its billionaire governors... Woof Is Todd himself even a billionaire? I know Joe is, but let's be honest, they probably put the dumbest son lowest on inheritance and told him they'd fund his government runs if he didn't touch the big boy businesses.
  16. Believing is the best because you can't ever be really wrong.
  17. The only concern I have with Callahan is he really hasn't stayed healthy. From a cap resource allocation standpoint, I'm definitely placing nickel back over S though. Replacing Callahan on the open market is a possibility in that regards. Bush looks ready to adequately start at S. One article I read about Pagano said he liked using a third safety in nickle packages. I wonder if that will play into any decisions (I'd assume he's still using a 3rd CB more, but the Bears aren't super deep at S if Amos goes) CB is really the only major position Pace hasn't drafted (Hall was kinda tweenerish, but moved to S full time pretty early). Wouldn't mind seeing that change this year. Though they do have Tolliver and a handful of PS guys, I'm not sure if any of those are long term development pieces.
  18. I'm not saying all the owners got together and hatched a plan to restrict money to players. They didn't have to; they filtered the membership in their special club so that everyone was on the same page to begin with. That may not be the strictest definition of collusion, but I'm okay with the term being used.
  19. also, what the hell is crane talking about? i still see plenty of people printing/using paper tickets at the airport...and if the line ever slows down, it's usually for my damn mobile ticket that isn't scanning right. He's obviously using the special rich people lines that the proletariat doesn't have access to.
  20. Mr Bezos, will you sign my trading card? Either that or: "Mr Bezos, "
  21. "Blasted" by xrays.
  22. Why the horsefeathers wasn’t the CT Scan done sooner? Huh, I thought the CT scan was usually the simpler test usually ordered first...
  23. 1. Cody Parkey.* *maybe That reminds me of the year that Desmond Clark "made" the Pro Bowl in a year where the Bears got absolutely no production from TEs. Even he was shocked. And then they realized that it was actually Dallas Clark that made it and the NFL rescinded the invite. LOL, I don't remember that at all.
  24. Its been like this for a while. It's been long overdue to kill it. Have an all pro team and some type of Awards show.
