  1. LOL I love when people screw up common words. It's not often you can tell when they're actually saying them vs. writing them on the internet or something, but he definitely just said, "It's been a world-wind."
  2. I love this offense. I have no doubt in my mind that a lot of innings that should've gone like this in the past resulted in ground balls early in the count for quick innings several times the past few years.
  3. I still think Rose, with his ability to penetrate and get to the basket (and draw contact), is going to be more like a Wade than these other great PG's he's being compared to....and I'd have no problem with that at all.
  4. From these comments (according to a poster on OH), I'd say he liked it quite a bit...
  5. Lineup RF - Fukudome SS - Theriot 1B - Lee 3B - Ramirez C - Soto LF - DeRosa CF - Edmonds 2B - Cedeno
  6. I've been to 8 games this year... they're 2-6 in said games.
  7. This team is absolutely nothing like the 2001 team.
  8. They were down 7-1 and came within a single of tying it in the 9th. Let's be honest here... 2 of the guys batting in the 9th should never even bat in big spots and the other (Fukudome) had no chance against Sherrill. They still showed the ability to come back. Exactly. Once they fell behind 7-1, they had no business being in the game. The fact that they were within a single of tying it or a double of winning it in the 9th with 3 chances is more of a testament to how really, really good this team is.
  9. Like, oh, I dunno, last Friday and Saturday. How was Saturday a clutch hit? It was the 4th inning. What's your definition of clutch? It was a one-run game in the 4th inning, and he drove in a run, kept the inning alive for Ramirez's HR that put the game out of reach. Clutch=8th or 9th inning. Lee sucked all game. He grounded into 1 double play and nearly grounded into 2 others. At first I thought you were trying to reverse jynx or just troll or something with the Lee commentary, but I guess not. Go look at Lee's numbers over the past 10 games and tell me how bad he's been lately. And if your argument seriously is about "clutchiness," let's not even begin it.
  10. Blanco is one of the few hitters on that bench that I think I'd go to Z or Marquis to ahead of. That said, neither was available. Plus, Marquis hits lefty.
  11. This is the most pissed I've been after any loss this year. Oddly enough, I wasn't even pissed after the Soriano debacle in Pitt.
  12. It's not Blanco's fault he sucks. It's probably Eric Patterson's fault we lost this game, though.
  13. No other choice, really... as far as I can remember, at least.
  14. CAN U SLDJSDLFJSDF STOP SWINGING AT EVERYTHING
  15. This is a bad time for back to back lefties to come up.. Ugh.
  16. Damn it Ronny, but that was not, by any means, the worst possible outcome.
  17. Swinging at ball 4 is not allowed....
  18. That terribly horrendous error is gonna cost us this game if we can't pull off a 2-3 run rally here. Ugh.
