Why? We're usually down, that's easy to deal with. Being up is unusual, and it makes us nervous. Valid...makes sense. But to me it's more like, "Wow, we're actually pretty good." I'm more relaxed this year and find myself looking at the big picture a lot more. Not me. I'm more fired up this year than ever. I am pissed even if we're only up by a run or two. I guess I just feel that this is the closest we're ever going to get to having a WS-caliber team, and this is our only chance for another 20 years or so. The time to win the WS is that crapshoot in October. I don't think anyone should be very worried about making it there (and it's quite likely we'll have HFA, too), barring major injuries (in which case, our chances would be significantly diminished anyways). I certainly want to win more games than any team in the National League, but I'm not going to freak when we hit a 4-5 game losing streak (which is almost inevitable over the course of 162 games). I guess I'm beating a dead horse, though.
