    Why? We're usually down, that's easy to deal with. Being up is unusual, and it makes us nervous. Valid...makes sense. But to me it's more like, "Wow, we're actually pretty good." I'm more relaxed this year and find myself looking at the big picture a lot more. Not me. I'm more fired up this year than ever. I am pissed even if we're only up by a run or two. I guess I just feel that this is the closest we're ever going to get to having a WS-caliber team, and this is our only chance for another 20 years or so. The time to win the WS is that crapshoot in October. I don't think anyone should be very worried about making it there (and it's quite likely we'll have HFA, too), barring major injuries (in which case, our chances would be significantly diminished anyways). I certainly want to win more games than any team in the National League, but I'm not going to freak when we hit a 4-5 game losing streak (which is almost inevitable over the course of 162 games). I guess I'm beating a dead horse, though.

    This drives me crazy. I want Z to be ok too but its not dependent on how the team does. If he's hurt, he's hurt. We've got to get back to winning. If Z's ok and we lose, I'm still pissed. The best I have ever felt after a loss is when we got Nomar 2 minutes after it. That went well, didn't it. The most talented Cubs team I have ever seen (up till this one, probably)... just ran out of gas at the end or something. Let's just not talk about what happened after that, actually.

    howd the cubs score today? swinging bunt, base hit, double play thats cheaper than a base hit up the middle followed by a home run Only because Lee has been god awful lately. If he would have done anything good in that at bat it wouldn't look so cheap. He did something good. He hit the ball hard. What happens after that is luck.

In two months when we are running away with the division we will look at this week and laugh All the other NL Central teams are going to die in plane crashes and have to be replaced by their AAA affliliates? the crew is really hot right now And yet, I am still not concern with them, simply because look who is still managing the Brewers. So, even tho they are playing well, there are not a concern, atleast not to me. While I'm not really worried about Milwaukee, it doesn't have all that much to do with their manager.

    I would hardly define getting Jerry Blevins and Rob Bowen for Kendall as screwing us. I think the screwing us part comes when we get Jason Kendall.

    Personally, I would love the acquisition, but I'm also a bit of a gambler. I love the potential of a Z ( ) and Harden top of the rotation, especially for the playoffs, and for the next few years. I know everyone is leery of his injury history, though.

    Soriano is out of his mind and seriously needs to stop rushing himself back from injuries. He was a one-legged gimp for over a month. That I was OK with, because he could still hit. But let your damn hand heal properly.

    It's on both, I think. WGN is probably carrying the Sox broadcast. CSN would be the Cubs broadcast.
