  1. howd the cubs score today? swinging bunt, base hit, double play thats cheaper than a base hit up the middle followed by a home run Only because Lee has been god awful lately. If he would have done anything good in that at bat it wouldn't look so cheap. He did something good. He hit the ball hard. What happens after that is luck.
  2. Yup. At least. In two months when we are running away with the division we will look at this week and laugh All the other NL Central teams are going to die in plane crashes and have to be replaced by their AAA affliliates? the crew is really hot right now And yet, I am still not concern with them, simply because look who is still managing the Brewers. So, even tho they are playing well, there are not a concern, atleast not to me. While I'm not really worried about Milwaukee, it doesn't have all that much to do with their manager.
  3. Good call. You should stop watching the game. No way this team can come back from a 2 run deficit.
  4. AJ gets booed because he's a jagoff.
  5. "Lilly jumps in the air, you know, every time a home run's hit off of him." Scintillating analysis, Ronnie.
  6. AJ Alphabet strikes again I saw that coming a mile away
  7. I would hardly define getting Jerry Blevins and Rob Bowen for Kendall as screwing us. I think the screwing us part comes when we get Jason Kendall.
  8. He has some other exam later today, and he'll miss at least a start. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3452978 Old news, but thanks. I meant that we haven't heard his MRI results..
  9. How have we not heard a thing about Z yet... wtf
  10. Personally, I would love the acquisition, but I'm also a bit of a gambler. I love the potential of a Z ( ) and Harden top of the rotation, especially for the playoffs, and for the next few years. I know everyone is leery of his injury history, though.
  11. Even before the Z injury situation per Dave Kaplan's "sources" on the Cubs pregame just now. Discuss.
  12. Who? Hoff? They won't start him against a lefty.
  13. It was... Fukudome - CF Theriot - SS Lee - 1B Aramis - 3B Soto - C DeRosa - RF Murton - LF Cedeno - 2B Lilly - P If I remember correctly... heard it on the way into work on Waddle and Silvy.
  14. Soriano is out of his mind and seriously needs to stop rushing himself back from injuries. He was a one-legged gimp for over a month. That I was OK with, because he could still hit. But let your damn hand heal properly.
  15. It's on both, I think. WGN is probably carrying the Sox broadcast. CSN would be the Cubs broadcast.
  16. Huh? Is that even considered a remote possibility?
  17. The last sniff of adversity was the Pittsburgh series (particularly the way in which those games were lost) and they proceeded to reel off what, 8 straight wins?
  18. You must have heard it wrong the second time.
  19. They are now saying "at least" on ESPN 1000. FWIW, Mac did not phrase it that way the first time I heard him report it. I'm pretty sure I would've noticed and known the difference.
  20. Harry just said on MJH that if the Cubs win tonight, this'll be the first time in the Pat Hughes era that the Cubs will have a lead as big as 4.5 games. Can that be true?
  21. one start or at least one start? One start is what they said. Not at least.
  22. Levine reporting that his sources say Z is expected to miss one start. Just heard it on MJH
  23. They had no choice. Somehow, my grade was cursed. We were terribly screwed in that dept. The freshman girls when I was a senior, though, were amazing.
