  1. Ugh, Zumaya still in.
  2. I swear, everytime I watch a Cards game on Gameday, when I see, "In play, run(s)," I get all excited only to see that it's a damn DP... :banghead: Oh well, at least they tied it.
  3. Bases loaded, no out for the Tigers Let's hope it ends a little different for them than it did for us last night.
  4. Not sure why you'd bring in Zumaya in that situation when he hasn't shown himself to be at all effective yet this year, but what do I know.
  5. WTF... Ball 4 sure looks like a strike on gameday
  6. Looks like Zumaya has his velocity but not his control...
  7. Gallagher goes Friday. It's a good way to keep his innings number slightly down to move him back a couple days in certain situations like this. He's still very young. It's not great to have him throwing too many innings, and the Cubs may need him to stay in the rotation the rest of the year. I'm hoping those two can keep it rolling the next two days. They really have been pitching well in June. During the game, Pat said Demp fri, Gallagher Sat, Marshall Sun That looks like a bad series. Doesn't look all that bad to me... I thought Marshall pitched better than he looked last night. Somehow the O's were managing to score every single baserunner that they got.
  8. Yep, remember the whole thing with Millar kidding him during the workouts about the Cubs watching...
  9. I know I'm late, but wow... SHAM CLOSER (I had to pause the game for a few minutes)
  10. No doubt in my mind. He's been throwing that back door slider for awhile. Looks like it'll be outside, but catches the corner. It's a good pitch, even though it doesn't break down very much. I think he's trying to say that Marmol missed his spot by a wide margin if he was trying to go outside and hit the inside corner. Either way, I think Marmol's MO has basically been that he's effectively wild. His stuff is so nasty that he generally doesn't have to hit spots all that well.
  11. I just went back through the last couple pages of this thread and NYF's posts are really.......bizarre?
  12. wtf? It would appear that he thinks everything on the site must be baseball related ot it's out of line. Which, if you pay attention, is clearly the case. I believe I'm also the 1st person to ever have their kid in their avatar. (Or maybe not if you check the game thread starter from the 4 before today) no. it's just God awful to look at. period... wtf?
  13. Any word on when the delay will be over in Detroit?
  14. Well, to be honest, I really don't see Lilly being #2 in the playoffs even if we didn't acquire another starter. I still see your point, though. I'm still holding out hope to end the season with a rotation of Zambrano, Sabathia, Hill, Dempster, Lilly. I don't have much, if any, faith that Rich Hill will figure out a damn thing this year. He's done for 2008, IMO.
  15. I haven't paid close enough attn to the game to know if that's accurate, but if, say, 2 guys are on with no out, and then 3 guys strike out, for instance, that's 6 LOB.
  16. Not as far as I know. He was in the lineup tonight until the lefty starting pitcher was scratched.

  18. Oh god, there's that amazing clip from last night again.
