I just wish they'd hit Theriot 8th or 9th (he's actually a decent fit for that "second leadoff hitter" 9th hitter) so I wouldn't have to see a player who has almost no chance of hitting for extra bases come up so much. Something like Soriano Lee Ramirez Soto Edmonds DeRosa Fuk/Font Theriot/P P/Theriot But Lou would never move Lee from 3 to 2 so maybe Soriano DeRosa Lee Ramirez Edmonds Soto Fuk/Font Theriot/P P/Theriot Now that I think of it, I'm sort of surprised that Lou doesn't seem to hit DeRosa high in the order much. Not that batting order matters much... I just wish there were someone with SOME extra-base ability getting more PAs than Theriot. EDIT - Went ahead and swapped Edmonds and Soto in the second one since Lou has to split the lefties.
eh my bad, i didn't notice that it's interesting, but i definitely wouldn't waste my time, if i were you. instead, i'd be looking for excuses to get out of school next week
Zambrano's line is pretty decieiving. He really didn't look that bad. Velocity was good, movement was good, and the location actually wasn't terrible. He was just barely missing and was not getting help from an atrocious umpire. He could very easily have only given up 1 or no runs. Thanks. Anyone have any idea about DeRo? Not too serious? Or are we concerned? day to day... probably could play tomorrow if these games mattered
a mets/brewers one game playoff would be awesome plus i'd love to see another one game playoff... last year's was an awesome way to ring in the playoff season
If the Cubs win then the Mets would be tied with the Phils in the loss collumn and also hold the tie breaker. Do you really want to face the Phillies? I think that would be the worst case scenario. I don't really care if the Brewers win, I'll take a Dodgers matchup. The way Myers has looked recently? Bring 'em on. Hamels feels like an automatic L. I don't feel like that about many pitchers, either.
they may look inept right now, but their lineup is far scarier than any other we would have to face, other than maybe Philly... contrary to popular belief, offenses do matter in the postseason Sheets and Gallardo scare the Brewers right about now....
The umpiring isn't as bad as getting swept to a team who was 2.5 games behind with 6 games left to play. And Z forgot how to throw strikes again. I belive this is the post Red Flash was looking for. Other guy said that the Twins werent that good. This guy didn't even come close to saying they weren't good... fth?
