  1. lol they actually think we're conspiring against the brewers when we've won two of the first three and played our regulars quite a bit?
  2. Well in the playoffs we would have handed this game to marmol/wood with a 2 run lead, not cotts/howry. Didn't Cotts place us in this predicament? Yeah, I think he did. And to think Lou won't place Howry on the post-season roster, or use Howry in a tight spot, is just silly thinking. In the playoffs, I find it highly unlikely that anyone but Marmol or Wood would be used in any significantly "tight spots." There are off days.
  3. methinx your hatred for the devil rays is playing a role in this questionable pick. it really isn't...my friend thinks so too... here...i will go WAY out there i think if the ray rays play the white sox they get swept... if the ray rays play the twins they merely get defeated... hatred doesn't play a part...just a gut feeling of choke coming to them paypal bet?
  4. lol 5 for 5 before today, i wanted hoffpauir to make the roster over ward today hasn't changed that
  5. ](*,) this is good, i think the white sox will beat the crap out of the ray rays no way way bet bet ya i know you hate the rays but that's nowhere near likely. the rays are a much, much better team.
  6. Those second half offensive numbers might also be influenced by how hot they've been against bad competition in September...
  7. On the plus side if we face the Dodgers we get to face Maddux. And probably early. You know Joe Torre.
  8. Collapse aside, Mets lineup is quite a bit scarier. Plus Santana is better than any of their starters. It's a bit of a tossup for me. Assuming the Cubs hold on, it'd be pretty tough for Santana to start more than 1 game in the NLDS. 2 games out of BIG GAME OLLIE has me drooling. True. I'm really hoping for a one game playoff.
  9. Collapse aside, Mets lineup is quite a bit scarier. Plus Santana is better than any of their starters. It's a bit of a tossup for me. If Santana can only pitch once in the series, I want the Mets. The Dodgers lineup and rotation are both much deeper than the Mets. (Not to mention their bullpen) Dodgers lineup isn't nearly as good IMO
  10. Collapse aside, Mets lineup is quite a bit scarier. Plus Santana is better than any of their starters. It's a bit of a tossup for me.
  11. Seriously, this is payback x10 to the Mets... Hoffpauir > Victor Diaz His name will live on in Mets lore
  12. I was seriously about to be pissed that the Office was coming on and this game was undecided.. within 5 seconds, HOFFBOMB
  13. They're just glad he's not losing. We probably would've given a standing O like that for Maddux in September 04.
  14. On MLB TV, was he safe? Safe, as I'm sure you've seen by now.
  15. How the hell was that even close (I think he was out)... Lix must be really bad at stealing bases, as fast as he is
  16. I'm willing to cut them some slack because of the rain, outside of Hoffpauir's first inning error.
  17. Called strike 3, 93 mph fastball on the outside corner
  18. Len suggesting that Harden may be limiting his repertoire a bit this start and throwing more fastballs in case he faces the Mets next week.
  19. Maybe the rain really is affecting the play.
