I remember watching Game 5, seeing Beckett shut us down against Z, thinking "eh, whatever, it'll be cooler to win it at home anyway." I don't actually remember much of game 5 outside of Beckett striking out Sammy on a pitch that FOX somehow had clocked at ~100 mph.

I'm sure you'll have no problem finding a taker. That's a pretty good seat, too.

I want to jump all over that so bad but I've been to so many damn games that I think I'll just watch it with a bunch of buddies at a friend's apartment. But I am damn tempted... damn.

See, that's what I don't understand. "Expecting" to be beaten by what clearly is an inferior team. Being worried that it'll happen because anything can happen in a short series? Sure. But expecting to be beaten makes even less sense to me than expecting to win in a playoff series. Neither one of them make much sense at all to me because you might as well be predicting the flip of a (slightly weighted) coin.

So the cubs lose this series, then? Have you ever been positive in your entire life? Of course. Just not about our ballclub. So then why even bother watching if you can't even muster up positivity (er, realism, actually) during the best season any of us have seen?

People thought that the Cubs were better than their record suggested last year too. They were. They just blew in the playoffs.

What does that even mean? Are you seriously trying to complain about the Cubs not getting big hits THIS year of all years? We've seen like 5 years worth this season.

I'm a Chicago based Cubs fan and don't care about them. Well, at least not negatively. I'd say I passively root for them when they aren't playing us. Although I do laugh at their misfortune when it comes.

Where are your seats? I bought 2 in Section 544 and am still mulling going. Comparable tickets are going for 2-3 times what I paid, and selling them would help me pay for the Cubs playoff tickets I bought, but it would be cool to see baseball history. Section 540 One game playoff would just be cool as hell to see. I guess I could sell but I have them set up for will call so I probably screwed myself there. I did that too on accident. I just called Ticketmaster's hotline and asked them to email the tickets and they did. Non-stop busy signals for me.
