  1. If that's true that would go along with what Z said on the radio last week about wanting to pitch game 3 in the NLDS.
  2. I'm getting an internal server error when I click the download link on that sendspace page.
  3. Just got my rejection email.
  4. hahahah cedeno getting yelled at for the ground ball
  5. Beautiful cheapie save for Woody
  6. Heh, not that I believe in clutch at all, but if anything, IMO, this game would just be evidence supporting the existence of anti-clutch with the Mets just "choking" all over themselves in a game that means nothing to the "free and easy" Cubs. But I don't really buy into any of that stuff.
  7. I think Marquis really is just incapable of hitting the strikezone sometimes. There's no reason for him not to just pound it right now.
  8. From Brewerfan.net Life is good right now :D)
  9. The Brewers won't even get past round one if they make it in.
  10. the myth that he's better at home is because he only gets the W at home for the most part, it's like 13 of 17 wins were at home. Just unlucky with run support and such on the road. i know but i expect people to be better than that
  11. Do people really think Dempster is a different pitcher at home or something? The main reason his numbers are a bit better at home than away is because of one disastrous start at Comiskey. I don't think setting up the rotation around what park he pitches in should be a major priority.
  12. Why do people try to act like a different game is being played in the postseason? It's still baseball. You're trying to score more runs than you limit the opposition to in the majority of a 5 or 7 game series. It takes both pitching and hitting to win...just like any other baseball game
  13. The Ed Hochuli mistake is barely a week old. And the hurricane weekend was also only a week ago.
  14. It's not like they're wrong. The player facilities at Wrigley are pretty much a joke compared to just about any other stadium in baseball. Gotta take the good with the bad in terms of the intimacy and all that, but they're right. Actually, the fan "facilities" are pretty terrible, too. But the experience and everything make up for it.
  15. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-080725-classic-wrigley-photogallery,0,6730997.photogallery this is pretty cool there's a pic in there of one of the aforementioned meetings between gabby hartnett and al capone http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2008-07/41211981.jpg
  16. Swung on, BELTED! That does make me miss Sammy, though.
  17. Len, if you are still hanging around by chance, will you be in on the radio booth with Pat and Ron during the playoffs?
  18. and thanks, Len... awesome to have you around. hope you work with the radio booth in the playoffs or something!
  19. treyz is a dick i don't care if that's a personal attack... maybe i'll get banned for it but i'm drunk and his posts piss me off.
  20. I'll be at a bar somewhere.
  21. FALSE Cubs have 10 games left If Cubs go 0-10, Brewers need to go 8-0 to force a tie If Cubs go 1-9, Brewers are eliminated Doesn't look all that likely that they'll be playing more than 9 games.
  22. I don't feel bad for the Brewers fans at all (Ball and Glove aside). Unlike with the Cards and other "rivals," I actually do dislike the Brewers a lot and a lot of their fans remind me of White Sox fans except that they're in our division so we actually have to deal with them. I love their back to back epic collapses and it's funny how screwed they are in terms of Sheets and CC.
  23. They're facing a talented but struggling NL Central team trying desperately to clinch a playoff spot despite an injured ace and an underperforming supporting cast; the resemblance is certainly there, no? To the 2008 Cubs? Not really. The only part that's really even close about that comparison is the injured ace part, but the situations really aren't comparable even in that specific case. As I said before though, its hard to ignore the similarites between this 2008 Brewers team and the 2004 Cubs team. Pretty similar. The Cubs waited longer before collapsing, but fairly similar teams.
  24. I couldn't connect the acronym to the phrase. Brain fart. Yea, I had to think about it for a second the first time I saw it.
