  1. I hope we are getting hot offensively so we can hit CC and Sheets the next 2 days Not that I want it to happen at all, but it wouldn't be absolutely terrible if the Brewers managed to win 2/3 this series and the Phillies lost ground...
  2. So yea... if he gets through this inning, I will be in full freakout mode.
  3. If he gets it into the 7th, that's when I'm going to start to freak out.
  4. Is Lee's power back? Extra base hits.. WOW
  5. If he hits him here after nearly hitting him on a 2 strike count, that would be another parallel to last night.
  6. That was the longest description of a grounder to 3rd ever by Pat Hughes.
  7. Sportsbook? I wonder if they could/would show the game since they try to show everything.
  8. I have a feeling that after this weekend, the game threads will be a bit more bearable for at least a short time. Although, if we get swept by the Brewers, I could see the Howry hitting the fan on here.
  9. ...and what's with the way he pronounces Boras's name?
  10. Stone never has any inside info.
  11. Do we really want to go to anyone on short rest in game 4? I don't. The history is pretty bad for it, which is especially telling given the fact that it's usually a team's best starter that's doing it. I'll take Lilly as the #4 gladly...just my opinion.
  12. And this is a prime example of why I don't understand how he is so well liked on here. I don't think he's that well liked. My opinion on it - love Kasper's contributions, but I can see how people can be annoyed at his voice. I just find it funny, if anything. Brenly, I am completely *meh* on and don't care much about him either way. He's too old school for me and I get annoyed at how he plays favorites and makes excuses for players he likes and picks apart players he doesn't like. It seems like most people on here feel this way, but I could be wrong.
  13. Steve Stone is an idiot. And horribly wrong. Especially when you consider the fact that Hendry said, from the moment Harden was acquired, that they'd look to give him extra rest and be careful with him. This wasn't some revelation or recent discovery. It's amazing how much I used to respect Steve Stone's opinion and like him compared to how much it's the exact opposite now.
  14. I don't really see a chance in hell of them not picking up that option, but I suppose we'll see.
  15. No, you're not the only one bothered by it. I'm honestly not that bothered by it, even though it would be nice to see him get a little more time than he has. He has basically been a black hole for a few months now.
  16. I would absolutely love it (not that I see a chance in hell of that happening) if the Brewers gave all the cash they free up to Francisco Rodriguez.
  17. If the Cubs win the next 4 games, and the Astros don't lose, I think they would clinch with a win Friday...
  18. Train FTW! Plus, no need for a DD.
  19. I like the energy. Walking around. All the (drunk) people and the music blaring from the bars. Crap like that. The bars themselves aren't anything all that special. Just the fact that they're all bunched up like that right outside the park, I guess.
  20. Thought so. Cool, thanks! At the very least, the chances of clinching on this homestand seem pretty good. I've been hoping all season that that would be the case and those damn games in Shea would be meaningless.
  21. http://espn.go.com/ haha, it's the top story now Then again, the story is about how the fans went to go see the neutral site no-no, but that'll work too. Looks like they're having a chat or something about the fairness of the neutral site to the Astros.
  22. Especially when you have FAR better methods of determining it available. The fact that many people still use it as the main way to determine a pitcher's worth is probably what frustrates me most about it and is why I dislike the stat so much.
  23. He also did an impression of Lou congratulating him last night in Spanish. It was pretty funny. At first he did it in English but said that Lou actually congratulated him in Spanish.
