  1. Did you hear that or are you just making a random guess? Heard that.
  2. Jake Fox starts at 3B today and bats 5th
  3. He DID say he was going to get the QB position stabilized.
  4. Something had to be lost in the translation there. Either Turner said, "Jay" instead of "Jerry" or the writer is blending two very different sentences into one. Yea, it had to be that he was saying, "Jay." I thought the same thing.
  5. And count me as one who thinks we will be fine without adding a WR (although I would obviously love to get a #1 and move everyone else down a slot). Olsen is going to be Cutler's best friend. Plenty of very good offenses have relied heavily on their TE as their primary target and Olsen is going to beast it this year.
  6. Ron Turner had some things to say on the Afternoon Saloon yesterday... http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog?name=dickerson More at the link... I really have a feeling that Johnny Knox is going to make some big plays for us this year, even if he can only run one route (which I don't think will be the case). I'd like to see him wind up in the slot this year... Not a fan of Rashied and Knox probably has the most upside of the available guys. Nothing like a great QB to bring out the upside in a young wideout.
  7. Already been shot down... http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/

  9. They also asked him something to the effect of.. "So Chicago is on the short list?" and he answered, "It's on the very, very short list."

  12. loooooool I hope Marshall stays in Denver so they see who the "legitimate" star is.
  13. From Marshall's blog/twitter or something.
  14. I doubt many were arguing that they'd be surprised if it was true. People were arguing that there was no actual evidence against him, which there wasn't.
  15. He is? Certainly spoke it well enough to do hundreds of interviews about hitting HRs with Big Mac in 1998. I have the "Home Run Chase" VHS at home if you want me to send it to you. Big difference between some relatively inconsequential interviews with sports media and speaking in front of government officials in the situation he was in. I speak Spanish very fluently, far better than Sammy speaks English, and even I'd feel extremely uncomfortable put into a similar situation in a Spanish speaking country.
  16. Bears | Have placed call to Burress Comment (0) Tweet me! Tue, 16 Jun 2009 09:30:30 -0700 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have placed a call to the agent for free-agent WR Plaxico Burress (Giants), Drew Rosenhaus.
  17. He'll just beat them up.
  18. I think MacNeil was making upwards of 600-700k at ESPN, but I'm not sure anyone else comes close. I'm sure Boers and Bernstein make a nice chunk of change, but not 7 figures.
  19. Right, but if Denver is willing to pay Boldin, why wouldn't they be willing to pay Marshall? EDIT - Just read the part where you say it's probably also Cutler related. True, but considering this started with him asking for his contract to be reworked, I think that if that happened he would be satisfied. Who knows, though.
  20. Not sure why that would leave Boldin any happier than he is now... at least in AZ he can still put up the numbers to eventually get paid. Not gonna happen with Orton, which is something that Marshall clearly realizes. Well AZ sure doesn't care whether Boldin is happy with the trade. I don't think he has an NTC does he? Maybe Denver doesn't want a "troublemaker" in return for Marshall, but that'd be the only problem I'd see there. But Boldin would probably leave the Broncos in the same situation they'd be trying to get out of by dealing Marshall, with an unhappy player that probably wants out... :dunno:

  22. Bears.com is probably my favorite team site ever right now. New articles typically once a day. New videos all the time. They're supposedly going to take training camp coverage to new levels this year. We'll see.
