  1. The only thing I remember about the Escobar incident was him getting all crazy trying to stare down our players all the way into the dugout.
  2. Being all thuggish last year vs. us.
  3. Imagine if he gets the no-no and misses the perfect game on that.
  4. Yes, good that one of the better hitters on the team is hurt so an inferior hitter against righties can play. Bradley is good? Have I missed the first 60 games of this season or something? I'd rather have Hoffpauir, Fox out there You must've missed like 7 years of Bradley's career, I guess.
  5. I actually meant that idiotic rating system that Rogers came up with an offseason or two ago.
  6. Almost as bad as Phil Rogers.
  7. This too.
  8. Yea, that team was really good.
  9. If we win tomorrow, I'll feel real good about this week.
  10. Without even looking, I bet Jr.'s career strikeout average is significantly skewed by the injury shortened years and the first year or two of his career where he might've had less playing time.
  11. I don't get at all how this means anything. It doesn't
  12. He just made it even better by saying Soriano was a 2B with the Yankees and then for a while with the Nationals before moving to LF with the Cubs.
  13. I'll probably regret asking, but what's he saying? (game blacked-out where I am) He's talking about Harden coming back and Marshall being moved to the bullpen as if it's a given. I really, really hope that is not going to happen. I bet you it will. If there was any doubt, the way Wells has pitched has pretty much cemented it. Between that and Lou's obsession with L/R matchups, I'd put it at like 90%.
  14. soriano and sandberg. probably a better guess than mine
  15. and i guessed that before they said it, i swear
  16. i'll guess jeff kent and ryne sandberg
  17. I should have been clearer, in that case. My bad. Can we move on now? Didn't mean to sound argumentative. I just pointed that out because I was going to argue with the Cards fan and then realized that I couldn't. :-"
  18. Honestly, I think the high moral standard comes from obnoxious sportswriters and politicians with nothing better to do more than from the fans. With McGwire and Bonds, it was blatantly obvious they were using PEDs. Yet, their fans loved them and to this day still defend those guys. Go Milton go! You got your facts a little screwed up there man... Giants fans ignored the facts about Bonds, Us Card fans did'nt find out Mac was juicing until he had retired. Now that I know about it I hate his red headed guts, as do MANY St. Louisans. Why did'nt you mention Sosa? Maybe because nothing has come out on him yet? Pretty much that. I'll happily throw his name onto the pile of suspected guys, but I was going for guys who'd been confirmed abusers. Cubs fans still haven't found out if Sosa was juicing. My point was more along the lines of the "high moral standard" thing than anything else. I really don't think fans care all that much if players on their teams were abusing. To be fair, you did say that it was blatantly obvious that they were using (presumably meaning at the time). It wasn't proven until well after. One could fairly easily say that it was blatantly obvious that Sammy was using, too, which, obviously, hasn't since been proven to be true or untrue.
  19. Well, they did lose Manny. Also there's the fact that 3-4 games doesn't tell you much of anything about how great or how bad a team is.
  20. Agreed. Personally, I can admit that I don't really give a damn.
  21. lol buck saying bradley doesn't have a good feel for the strike zone this year because of his .330 OBP despite the fact that he's hitting like .215
  22. God I love Misa Campo I'd marry her without ever having heard her speak a word. :)
  23. Lou send Martin? Wat? Are you guys actually watching the game?
