  1. Gameday has ball 4 well in the strikezone So does Santo but neither mean much
  2. I'm pretty sure a changeup is considered a "breaking ball" I've only heard the term used in reference to curve/slider, usually.... And even so, why wouldn't he just say changeup then?
  3. Five straight breaking balls to DeRo according to Hughes. Since when is Harden throwing a breaking ball?
  4. wtf? Seriously? That's just odd. EDIT - Did you mean in the replay game or something?
  5. This game was during that stretch where I actually managed to get over my hatred for Jim Edmonds. I never thought he would do it, but he did it. Geo was fat then, too. GO!!! Yup this is where most Cubs fans accepted Edmonds. Braves game, game-tying HR. Yep. While I'm mentioning games I've been to, BTW, I was at all 3 of Jimmy's multi-HR games last year.
  6. I do. I just hate walking in huge crowds while being pissed off about a loss, I guess.
  7. Oh, and I was at that game when the Bulls were down 3 vs Miami this year... we were leaving but decided to see what happens on the TVs as we're walking through the concourse... I see Gordon get fouled on the 3 and we run back to our aisle to watch the ending... Gordon hits all 3.. and then we steal the ball and call timeout... Thabo throws a terrible inbound pass and gets it stolen again and Wade finds Marion wide open for a dunk. Based on this one, I probably should keep leaving early. ](*,)
  8. Never stop leaving games early. I was at the second Bulls home playoff game this year and tried to get my friends to leave when the Bulls were down 3, right before Gordon hit the shot to tie it. The funny thing is, I'm the one who never gives up on a game early, but I so badly want to avoid the huge rush of people walking out (which sucks even more when my team loses) that I try to play my odds in those situations. I seem to lose every time, though.
  9. Guys, I was at that game. And I left after the 8th when it was 5-2. And then as I was walking to the train I heard the crowd make noise and checked my phone and it was 6-2. I let out a WTF? expressing surprise/disgust/excitement all at once when someone yelled out that they tied it 15-20 minutes later on the train. ](*,) I at least made it home on time to watch the extra innings on TV. Oh, I also left that Cardinal game in 03 where they were down like 8 runs right after JD Drew hit a grand slam. Oh, and I left the Brewer game early at Milwaukee this year when they were down and Soriano homered.
  10. Actually, it's supposed to be pretty nice out all day after this passes through in another hour or so. But then again, Accuweather had this ending an hour ago. The radar looks pretty clear, though.
  11. I should've probably put the alternates on even money...
  12. 1:2 on pinstripes 2:1 on alternate 10:1 road
  13. So would I, especially vs a lefty. That might be why Lou changed his mind. Or they might have just had him lower in the lineup.
  14. Yea, I can't decide if I misheard fifth for sixth, if they misspoke, or if Lou just changed his mind. I don't remember if Soto was in the original lineup they reported. It might've been Koyie originally.
  15. Blanco is the 2B... I should've mentioned that, but I missed the parts of the lineup so I didn't want to just guess at it. They read it out on ESPN1000 right before I posted that...
  16. Although I should've said it was a random guess and let you guys get all  when it happened.
  17. Did you hear that or are you just making a random guess? Heard that.
  18. Jake Fox starts at 3B today and bats 5th
  19. He DID say he was going to get the QB position stabilized.
  20. Something had to be lost in the translation there. Either Turner said, "Jay" instead of "Jerry" or the writer is blending two very different sentences into one. Yea, it had to be that he was saying, "Jay." I thought the same thing.
  21. And count me as one who thinks we will be fine without adding a WR (although I would obviously love to get a #1 and move everyone else down a slot). Olsen is going to be Cutler's best friend. Plenty of very good offenses have relied heavily on their TE as their primary target and Olsen is going to beast it this year.
  22. Ron Turner had some things to say on the Afternoon Saloon yesterday... http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog?name=dickerson More at the link... I really have a feeling that Johnny Knox is going to make some big plays for us this year, even if he can only run one route (which I don't think will be the case). I'd like to see him wind up in the slot this year... Not a fan of Rashied and Knox probably has the most upside of the available guys. Nothing like a great QB to bring out the upside in a young wideout.
