    I'm looking forward to an opportunity to beat Wood here beyond just wanting the win. Is something wrong with me? (I'm definitely a Kerry Wood fan)

    If the Cubs win, Wood will have blown the save and DeRosa will have struck out hopefully his last two times up. :grin:

    Sort of funny to see that considering I still remember Wood getting Vina to swing at sliders that hit him in the shoes more than once.

    I guess they'll have to rally in the 9th then For a split second I thought that ball was driven on a better line than that and was going to drop. I feel like whenever teams get this far they don't just go quietly. 3-4-5 up in the 9th and if any team knows how Wood will approach this situation its these guys. Here comes the awkwardness or cheering against Wood. Plus, Wood has a tendency to get wild and these are probably our 3 most patient hitters.

    It wasn't an extra base hit though. Hmm, this is a tough decision. Even though this guy has struggled against left-handers, I probably am forced to pull Fontenot for Hill here. Fontenot has really, really struggled against left-handed pitching. Well, whatever.. Any hit. :)

    FWIW, the Bears were 5th in the league in yards per play last year. Unfortunately, there were lots of plays, and thus, they gave up a lot of total yards. I believe they may have had the most or second most time on the field. All the short possessions by the offense did not help that at all. They were also 10th in turnover rate. They were very bad, however, in sack rate. Something like 30th. Simply having a better offense will help that a good amount. If we can get improved play out of the line, we're in really good shape.

    4.89, 4.48, 3.33, 2.88 At best, two of those things do not belong. W/E all I am saying is that Cliff Lee is good, but not superman as you making him out to be. I hate the Brewers but they would have creamed Lee. That's nonsense. What in the world are you talking about?
