  3. They also asked him something to the effect of.. "So Chicago is on the short list?" and he answered, "It's on the very, very short list."

  6. loooooool I hope Marshall stays in Denver so they see who the "legitimate" star is.
  7. From Marshall's blog/twitter or something.
  8. I doubt many were arguing that they'd be surprised if it was true. People were arguing that there was no actual evidence against him, which there wasn't.
  9. He is? Certainly spoke it well enough to do hundreds of interviews about hitting HRs with Big Mac in 1998. I have the "Home Run Chase" VHS at home if you want me to send it to you. Big difference between some relatively inconsequential interviews with sports media and speaking in front of government officials in the situation he was in. I speak Spanish very fluently, far better than Sammy speaks English, and even I'd feel extremely uncomfortable put into a similar situation in a Spanish speaking country.
  10. Bears | Have placed call to Burress Comment (0) Tweet me! Tue, 16 Jun 2009 09:30:30 -0700 Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have placed a call to the agent for free-agent WR Plaxico Burress (Giants), Drew Rosenhaus.
  11. He'll just beat them up.
  12. I think MacNeil was making upwards of 600-700k at ESPN, but I'm not sure anyone else comes close. I'm sure Boers and Bernstein make a nice chunk of change, but not 7 figures.
  13. Right, but if Denver is willing to pay Boldin, why wouldn't they be willing to pay Marshall? EDIT - Just read the part where you say it's probably also Cutler related. True, but considering this started with him asking for his contract to be reworked, I think that if that happened he would be satisfied. Who knows, though.
  14. Not sure why that would leave Boldin any happier than he is now... at least in AZ he can still put up the numbers to eventually get paid. Not gonna happen with Orton, which is something that Marshall clearly realizes. Well AZ sure doesn't care whether Boldin is happy with the trade. I don't think he has an NTC does he? Maybe Denver doesn't want a "troublemaker" in return for Marshall, but that'd be the only problem I'd see there. But Boldin would probably leave the Broncos in the same situation they'd be trying to get out of by dealing Marshall, with an unhappy player that probably wants out... :dunno:

  16. Bears.com is probably my favorite team site ever right now. New articles typically once a day. New videos all the time. They're supposedly going to take training camp coverage to new levels this year. We'll see.
  17. You fail English? That's unpossible. Got caught phrasing it two different ways there.
  18. Actually, playing lots of small ball will definitely lead to consistently bad offense.
  19. Teams are going to do poorly overall when they score 3 runs or less. Let's look at two playoff teams last year, the Red Sox and the World Champion Phillies for evidence: 2008 W/L when scoring 3 runs or less for Boston: 10-45 2008 W/L when scoring 3 runs or less for Philadelphia: 12-47 Those are the only two I figured up, but I'd wager that most teams follow that lead. Combined playoff record for the two: 18-7, with the Phillies winning the World Series. Who would have ever thought that teams had bad records when they scored fewer runs??
  20. Andres Blanco is probably the best defender on a lot of teams. What does this even mean? I was gonna say isn't he really really good with the glove? My point is that its not a good sign when a AAA player gets called up and is immediately your best defender. Unless said AAA player is a really really good defender. Then it just means you're just like almost any other team.
  21. I'm just watching on GameDay, but why the hell would you throw a fastball right down the middle of the plate on 0-2?
