  1. Yes. They said that their decision was final due to extensive re-selling on the account. I'm contemplating my options at this point. Part of me says to walk away, but another part of me says they may be in violation of the law. It turns out that Illinois is actually not very friendly toward restricting the resale of tickets as long as it's done through a reputable business like Stubhub. See: See 815 ILCS 414: "Any term or condition of the original sale of a ticket to any theater, circus, baseball park, or place of public entertainment or amusement where tickets of admission are sold that purports to limit the terms or conditions of resale of the ticket (including but not limited to the resale price of the ticket) is unenforceable, null, and void..." Something is missing here; it's not like they don't want people selling the tickets through approved means if they can't use them. They didn't explain why it would be a problem if you were selling them legit? http://www.espn.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/8547796/chicago-cubs-try-oust-scalpers-season-ticket-rolls
  2. why is the audio so weird on this game
  3. As a starter probably 2020 as a relief pitcher maybe 2019. Wtf that's a long horsefeathering time. Get him up before he wastes his bullets
  4. annoyed at how close it was but at least they beat the bad team this time
  5. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2015/7/1/8859137/thoracic-outlet-syndrome-pitcher-effectiveness
  6. Nope. It's horse horsefeathers
  7. Nope. Any reasoning? Selling too many? I remember this coming up before.
  8. http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-cubs/tyson-ross-could-be-one-final-pieces-cubs-offseason-puzzle I thought I had heard we were still in on Holland, but Mooney appears to be reporting otherwise.
  9. Posting because Blengino's stuff is always excellent and interesting. I know it was a throwaway line, but Lopez was not a league average hitter before 23 and if he played defense like Addison Russell he would've had a pretty good career.
  10. I like your line ups, but personally I'm not sold on the Almora/Jay platoon in CF. Baez and Zobrist are both better players than Almora and Jay. Playing Almora and Jay regularly will cut into Zobrist and Baez's playing time, unless the Cubs decide to make Heyward the odd man out. To me it seems the best option is to move Heyward to CF full time, Zo in RF full time, Schwarber in LF full time, and Baez at 2B full time. I want Baez's defense on the field as many games as possible, especially at 2B. Almora and Jay can spot start when the match ups favor them or someone needs a day off. Almora will see plenty of playing time late in games as well. Jay to me is nothing more than a 5th outfielder, probably a tier or two better than Coghlan. Trust me, I'm not in love with the idea of moving a perennial gold glover, Heyward, out of his comfort zone in RF to CF, but to maximize Zobrist and Baez's playing time this seems like the only option. This is where I'm at opening day: Zobrist RF Schwarbs LF Bryant 3B Rizzo 1B Russell SS Contreras C Heyward CF Baez 2B To start the year Jay is more than likely a better option over Javy vs almost all RHP Without even getting into the huge defensive upgrade
  11. But Willson is better than Russell and Heyward.
  12. Oh good lord it was a joke. I'm not reading all that. Holy horsefeathers.
  13. I really like this so, vs RHP Schwarb Bryant Rizzo Zobrist Contreras Russell Heyward Jay ??
  14. Also it's sounding more and more like Schwarb is gonna be leading off And we'll be leading the NL in runs at the break and we'll be hearing that the Cubs need to trade for leadoff man at the deadline.
  15. Gwynn didn't get to only face a bunch of slob white guys though
  16. I feel like it should be when Almora or Jay come up 8th that should really bother you, if anything Finally, some real piss break options in CF. Yeah, if you wanted to nickname them piss break, I'd have no issue with it.
  17. I feel like it should be when Almora or Jay come up 8th that should really bother you, if anything
  18. I thought it was an intentional joke, and kept expecting it to be a parody of over the top fan tributes, but then it ended and it was, all, "welp, I guess that was THAT." I think the music was supposed to be a creepy joke and the message of gratitude for dex was genuine
  19. I thought the music choice was funny
  20. Also there was something so cathartic about not seeing Bobby Portis Nice to see Dougie back too PS - Never in a million years would've thought I'd ever like Dwyane Wade at all, let alone this much
  21. of course we hand the spurs their first road loss of the year rondo with the quietest near (9 assists) triple double ever
  22. it's nothing like that really
  23. Heyward will be fine.
  24. well that's largely because even without any of those things happening we'll win like 90-95 games
