    WSCR says Pagan is on the DL due to an illness which has caused Pagan to lose a significant amount of weight the last few days.

    edit: sarcasm, Ryan? how many times has he done that, significantly hurt himself running the bases? He has averaged 156 games the last five years. Being injury-prone is very hard to causaly quantify, but with Sori, you have no shot. It's definitely sarcasm on Ryan's part.

    Another good point. Having Demp face Delgado in that situation was a disaster waiting to happen.

    Urlacher was on ESPN with Rachel Nichols, and apparently paid Olsen some pretty high praise. Said he's the best TE he's ever seen. Probably a little bit of an exaggeration, but cool to hear, regardless. I don't doubt that he has the ability to be just that, though.

    Become a Saints fan, they're going to be winning a whole lot of games in the next few years. Bears will be winning more. He had it right with his first inclination.

    I don't think it really matters who closes. But Marmol is the guy who's pitching the best, along with probably Howry. They should be facing the middle of the other team's order; let the other guys take on the 6-9 hitters when possible. If definitely matters who closes. A closer needs to be able to throw strikes (Marmol). Dempster walks a ton of guys and it just builds up the pressure. You should have your best relievers pitching in big situations, whether it be earlier in the game or later, rather than using them in the 9th inning with a lead. The closer label/position is the most overrated thing ever. If you have a shutdown pitcher like Marmol, would you rather him come in, let's say, in the 7th inning of a tied game with 2 on and nobody out, or in the 9th inning with nobody on and nobody out and a lead (which is typically the situation that your "closer" comes in for)?

    I remember when people jumped on me for saying I wasn't excited/didn't care much about the prospect of Dempster coming off the DL a few weeks ago. Funny how that works. I do care now.

    This may have been suggested before, but how about a quick reply form on the bottom of each page in a thread? It's a nice and convenient thing I've seen on other boards. On the other hand, it might lead to even more post whoring.
