  1. I'm guessing we'll see Wood today. This reminds me of when Clement had to be pulled from a no-hitter in Puerto Rico.
  2. I'm also down to help in any way possible with the site.
  3. Count me as another who would definitely be interested in such a Bears board. And I'd go for premium on there, too. EDIT - Wow, this is awesome. You can all thank me. :D Tim, Uber made a bunch of graphics for another Bears board that we tried to get rolling a couple years back. Might those be of any use to you?
  4. Wow, you guys had legit reasons for not wanting Stone in the front office? I just don't like the cut of his jib. What's a jib?
  5. Count me as not part of that huge percentage of Cubs fans who would want to see Stone in a front office capacity. In the booth with Len, sure. I'm not a fan of Stoney's philosophies.
  6. Probably some sort of joke about how we've frequently needed "Kerry Wood Update" threads, since he gets hurt so much.
  7. I'm thinking along those lines right with you. Also, if the Brewers and Cubs met in the NLCS, how amazing would it be to take over their park for a playoff series? Doesn't matter where the Cubs play their ballpark will be ours! Pretty much. I went to Atlanta in 2003. Just missed out on going to Florida and had every intention of going to New York.
  8. In '84 they where both in the NL East... Maybe they were tied? If that were the case, it should say "division," not "divisions." That, or maybe they screwed up and meant 1994. Did the realignment happen in 94 or 95? I recall 95 being the first playoffs with the new alignment, but I think 94 already had the new divisions/wild card.
  9. I corrected the lineup, Silvy and Waddle mistakenly reported Font in at 2B instead of DeRo.
  10. Cubs lineup Soriano Theriot Lee Ramirez Floyd DeRosa Jones Kendall Z

  12. Against a righty? Doubt it. Then again, Floyd might've tweaked something in yesterday's game. Of course, if that's the case, it's probably DeRo in RF and Font at 2B.
  13. On the other hand, the Bears will have quite a few national prime time games this year.
  14. I still wish there were a Bears board as good as this one.. or maybe an NFL subforum? Seems like most of the random Bears boards I find are full of idiots.
  15. Nice report on camp from Fox Sports... http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/story/7078504?forum_key=StoryComments&topic_key=7078504&page_no=2&var=one&rand=541&rand=440
  16. So did I...but I realized he wasn't that good...ever. Bigger/better hitter... Larry Whigham or Chris Harris? Big Hitter, whatever. I've been begging for a safety that can handle pass coverage the past 3 years. (Other than Mike Brown of course) ?? I'm not arguing with you. I think Chris Harris was a mediocre safety, at best. Whigham wasn't anything special, either. I'm just asking which of those two people think was a bigger hitter. They were/are both pretty well known for laying the wood on guys.

  18. I thought he was a good guy. I liked him on the post game shows and all that. As a player, I didn't love or hate him.
  19. I'm guessing Angelo wanted his draft pick back from the Walker deal, plus they were probably going to cut Harris anyway, so, viola.
  20. Bears have traded Chris Harris to the Panthers for a draft pick. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-070802bearstradeharris,1,2628727.story?coll=cs-home-headlines
  21. See: Foul Ball Guy. Damn. Maybe I should've worded that differently..
  22. Is MLB.com right? Are the Sox and Yankees tied at 8, both having scored 8 runs in the 2nd inning???
  23. Gotta love wishful thinking.
  24. Oh, snap....our newest fan
