well, this game isn't going to end well, so I may as well ask a question that i don't feel like making a topic about. What's the best hotel I can stay at in chicago that is: 1. close to Wrigley, although it doesn't have to be close, I can take the public transportation 2. close to bars. This one is important. 3. around 50-60 per night for 1 person. 4. Not in a bad area. -

I don't understand the Indians being so low. The radio guys are better, but I like the TV guys, too. Mets should not be that high and neither should the Padres. But overall it was a pretty accurate list. -

Probably game 7 of the NLCS in 03. Despite us losing and me still being incredibly bitter about it, it really was a terrific game and a great ending to one of the best playoff series I've ever seen. Oh and I would have killed Baker before the game, as anybody other than him would have taken Wood out when we had the lead. -

The PS3 is the best blu-ray player on the market anyways. I'd get one regardless of the cubs performance.

People on the Phillies message board (mlb.com, I know the people on every mlb.com board are dumb, but I could not find a better Phillies board.) love the deal, and are saying that the only reason other fans and the national media don't like it is because of jealousy and the media's Philly hate.

No way the Cards finish 3rd. Ive given in to the fact that Pujols will be in St. Louis forever (or at least until 3 season from now when he dies of old age) But considering the Phillies just signed a platoon player to a 25 million/year deal, that is going to eat up a lot of their payroll, especially since Holiday is already eating up a ton of it.

I take issue with Fuld being on the roster at all unless its to fill in for an injury or a september callup.

Pat can do it by himself. Nobody else they have there right now is capable of doing anything but annoying people.

I'm starting to get a little less worried about this team. Going into the season we really needed Soriano and Soto to have good years, and they're both looking very good right now. I don't think anybody expected Ramirez to be this bad, and Lee has been meh. When those two get going and if Soriano and Soto keep it up our offense can be passable. And I hate the Zambrano move a little less each time I think about it, although I hope we can make a trade to get a decent arm in the bullpen and move Z back into the rotation some time in the next month. If everything keeps going good, we might only finish 12 games behind the Cardinals! 8-)

Cubs radio, at least PBP, Cleveland Indians TV, and Indians Radio are my favorites. I also like the Mets and the Padres TV. White Sox are far and away the worst, though the Red Sox guys are pretty bad too. -
Where did this notion that Geo is a bad defensive catcher come from? I thought in 08 everybody praised his catching ability? Why has Lou been using Hill for his defense? I know that's off topic, but I figured if I was gonna post something off topic I may as well make it way off topic.

Soriano and Soto are our only sources of offense right now, but Lou hates both of them so they get switched out and hit in the bottom of the order. :-#

you do realize that the Cubs are next to last in the NL in runs scored? Yet we would be pretty good if our bullpen wasnt so damn awful? The offense is something I figure will come around. We've had leads, we've just been unable to hold them. I realize you can't win every day by scoring 2 or 3 runs, but I still see the bullpen as the bigger problem than the offense.

I remember when Wood was injured in 04 he got suspended and had to wait until he came off the DL to serve it. -
Haven't the Cubs had the lead in every game this year except for last night? That's not too surprising. If our bullpen wasn't so damn awful we'd probably be pretty good this year.

I have nothing against the White Sox at all, but I simply can not watch their games or listen to the highlights. Harrelson needs to be gone as soon as possible. I can't believe he still has a job.

This thread has been made a million times before. I'm sorry. I'm looking for 3 tickets for the 7/3 game against the Reds. What's the best place to buy? Cubs.com won't let me buy 3 together unless I get nosebleed seats. Are there better places out there?
