I think it should and will be, but only after a while. 6 or 7 years from now when (if) he goes to the hall, we will have all forgotten about 2004, and only the homerun race, the smiling face, the home run in game 1 of the NLCS, and all the other good memories will remain. But, that will take time. -

I'm half tempted to root for the White Sox, just because if they win, it might provide some motivation for the trib. ...But then I listen to Hawk, and I realize why I hate them so much.

Even before this season I considered Derrek Lee to be one of the best at 1st base. His career numbers are dampered by his notorious crappy April-May. His great numbers this year are a product of him having a good beginning in April-May. I don't have the exact stats, but I would almost guarentee that Lee is about .310 BA the past couple years from June-Sept/Oct. I might not be so keen on giving him a 6 year 75 million dollar deal, but one way or another he is getting a big raise after next year.

Yea, but no baseball team can be unlucky enough to have them be injured 3 years in a row. We are due for a lucky season next year. (I tell myself that at night after every crushing defeat. It helps me sleep.) Oh, and Welcome to NSBB!! I think one of the mods is supposed to be the one to say that, but oh well.

Kerry Wood is not "all but gone." He has a bummed shoulder, and is having surgery at the end of the year. Going into next year, we will have Prior, Wood, and Zambrano 1-2-3 in the rotation for the first time since 2003. If we can sign a decent 5th starter to compliment Maddux, or give the job to Rich Hill or Angel Guzman (which will never happen as long as Dusty is running the show), we will once again have an elite pitching staff. Have you seen Kerry pitch lately? He has looked terrific.

Rogers is a moron and probably meant to say that they never lost 3 series in a row, which is still astounding, but slightly more believable.
