So it was 16 points with 10 minutes left? Not quite as bad as blowing a 17 point lead with 8 minutes left to the Braylon Edwards band. And I bet Howard's not fond of MSU, considering he's a UM grad.
-
I'm gonna go tell myself that Mizzou is 4-0 and that 7 of the 12 teams immediately in front of them lost today.
-
How does the booth not review that?
-
Time for Matt Trannon to be the new Charles Rogers
-
Maybe now MSU will run an offensive play. Eerily reminiscient of the 17 point lead they blew against Michigan a year or two ago.
-
Did Quinn audible into that?
-
Because Bob Davie says so
-
Z-O-U!
-
Clearly the refs are out to get Notre Dame. What are your thoughts on the personal foul on Trannon?
-
haha, Ringer slid for like 15 yards there that's perfect backyard football weather
-
There's over 20 minutes left in the game, going for it on 4th and long isn't exactly a no-doubt decision.
-
Attn Davie and Herbstreit: Crowds don't go crazy when their team is on offense, that's why they're "dead". When Notre Dame gets the ball, the crowd will get loud again.
-
hahahaha, Blackledge just tore into Notre Dame. I'm pretty sure half of it wasn't true(MSU has better athletes?) but "Irish Drinking Water", hahaha
-
USC only up 3-0 at the half against Arizona.
-
what the heck a 10 year old coach for ND grabs Trannon's facemask? PICK SIX!
-
Terrible double personal foul call. Should've been only the late hit.
-
Matt Trannon plays basketball
-
haha, Fields came up with it! That's the second punt I've seen Zbikowski muff this year.

Interestingly, Izturis will make about the same as Wells next season. If we would have traded Maddux for an inexpensive prospect, and assuming we have enough to pay for Soriano and Zito and Izturis, we could have just paid for Wells, Zito, Soriano. I don't just mean financially. what do you mean then? I don't think any GM is capable of simultaneously trading for a top trade target and signing the top 2 free agents available. -
Crimeny, Mark Mangino is a house. kU in a scoreless tie in the early stages at home v. South Florida. Elsewhere in the Big XII, Texas Tech is crushing SE Louisiana, Nebraska has an early two score lead on Troy, OU is taking out their frustrations on Middle Tennessee State, and Baylor is showing how bad aTm is by taking a two score lead on Army early.

I don't think it's feasible at all to trade for Jones/Wells, sign Soriano, AND sign Zito/Schmidt.

Solid win. Offense looked lackluster for the most part though. I do not want to see Marcus Woods returning punts anymore this season, he's terrible. Also, IMO, Earl Goldsmith OR Jimmy Jackson are the best RBs on this team. Not Woods and Temple. Our defense is spectacular. They bent a few times but didn't break. A huge FG block to keep our streak of never losing in a game this season alive. A few dropped INTs though. Chase looked great at times and meh at times. Got the job done though. Great pass to Franklin early. Franklin made that TD a lot more difficult than it should've been though. Great start for the Tigers, but none of it will matter if we lost to Colorado next weekend. Agreed, especially about Woods not returning kicks. I know you don't want to hurt his confidence, but there comes a time when he just has to lose the job to Pig Brown. Also, I'd say that Temple is our best back, although Goldsmith and Jimmy Jack both did a great job of running downhill today. Hopefully Colorado is more demoralized than inspired by sticking with Georgia.

Congrats to Missouri. Any chance they'll be ranked next week? No probably not, they haven't received many votes in either polls. And Mizzou actually started off 4-0 in 2003 before they lost to the stupid Jayhawks in the fifth game. I saw that in the writeup, the thing I read this week must've been a typo, or maybe referring to going perfect in the non-con.

Dunno. What's the alternate they are showing? Oh, I guess I'm getting Texas-ISU. I was thinking OSU was on ESPN because of the update they showed with the ESPN graphic. Still have to get used to that.
