  1. When was Hagerty released? I never read that he was, but I did read that he was in minor league camp. Unless I'm mistaken, Hagerty was a 2nd round, and not 1st round, pick. Sandwich pick. 32nd overall. Link
  2. I hate whistlefests.
  3. haha, a real man would've scored all his points in overtime instead of just 7 A real man? Who is questioning his masculinity? What are you talking about?...... No one really. I do have a little trouble figuring out how you're not impressed with LBJ shooting 14-25 from the field, 11-13 from the line, with 9 assists and 5 boards and being his team's only option on offense for the last 8 minutes + overtime.

  5. He was yelling it while he was still in. EDIT: Big thanks to whoever called that garbage defensive 3 seconds
  6. Haha, you can't be serious
  7. I don't think it's all that surprising. Wuertz wasn't healthy to start ST, after he got better Wood went down and will start on the DL, and Cotts has been awful all spring. Even with Cherry's performance injuries/ineffectiveness have prevented the appearance of much depth.
  8. There's no way both of those were charges, on the Wallace one he was completely around him.
  9. Bill Walton is absolutely insufferable. It's worse than the last time I listened to him.
  10. Not necessarily. After all, it's pretty late in ST to be picked up with another team after being released. He can make the case that it was the only opportunity he had. Which is going to hurt his case. There are 29 teams out there he offered his services to and the only opportunity he had was to sign a deal that doesn't even guarantee him a 40 man roster spot, let alone a 25 man. Seems like a cut and dry win for the Padres. I think you have to take into account that it's now the eve of the season, most teams have their rosters all but set and their money all but spent.
  11. Bad News BABIPs Catcher: Yadier Molina First Base: Dmitri Young Second Base: Craig Biggio Third Base: Pedro Feliz Shortstop: Adam Everett Left Field: Scott Podsednik Center Field: Willy Taveras Right Field: Jeffrey Francoeur Pitcher 1: Woody Williams Pitcher 2: Shawn Hill
  12. Justin Speier Juan Cruz Kyle Lohse Scott Downs
  13. I like giving up on 19 year olds. Garza has done what exactly? Won 4 games? At one time Mark Prior looked like the best player from his draft. I didn't say anything about giving up on Pawelek, but wouldn't you trade him for Garza? Garza's clearly MLB ready now, there's a chance Pawelek may never reach that point.
  14. You've obviously thought this through.
  15. He took 3. He missed the first one.
  16. I'd like to see Marshall at Iowa, but otherwise it looks good. Too bad Veal can't get an Opening Day nod.
  17. Wow. At least the Bulls can make this a Win or OT situation.
  18. I disagree with that assertion-Ryan Leaf is one example of a player who made it to a similar level in another league and was most definitely soft. Not a good comparison. Leaf didn't have to get promoted through 4 levels of minor league football.
  19. Why is that? Why would someone who's employed for another team have a better handle on Prior's makeup than any Cub fan who follows the team closely? This is ridiculous. If anything, Prior's taking the high road in not trying to make himself more important than anyone else who got sent down with the "employee" comment. I can't believe how many people are jumping him for this.
