  1. you can thank fox for that I don't know one baseball fan that is happy with that arrangement. Theres no baseball on FOX right now, how can they be blacking it out? They have the rights to Saturday games that start before a certain time(something like 5 or 6 EST)
  2. It's been a couple days since opening day now. But, Alburquerque is the most interesting. True, but Marshall, Mateo, Samardzija, Veal, Ceda, Atkins, and probably others I'm missing are interesting beyond the opening day guys.
  3. My appreciation level for Lou just dropped a notch. And it's not like Izturis has ever had success against Sheets. Hopefully, this line up concoction will be short lived. After 4 games last year, I had a long list of things that I felt Dusty did wrong. After 4 games with Lou, the only thing I've second guessed on him is taking out Marquis an inning early. Not bad. I'm second guessing him on Izturis, and I hope I end up being wrong and Izturis has a great day in the 2 hole. But, Izturis just isn't an OBP hog and he's better suited to hit at the bottom of the order. What about pinch hitting Cedeno instead of....anyone else? Anyone else = Blanco? Ward or Floyd against a LHP? Just because its Lefty-Lefty doesn't mean its bad. Floyd, incidentally, had better splits against lefties than Cedeno. Cedeno's a different hitter than his awful streak last year. And it's not nearly enough of a sample for me to conclude he's got some sort of reverse split. Ultimately, it's not as cut and dry to rake Lou over the coals over.

  5. Don't ever do this again Lou. With any luck Izturis will continue to get humiliated against Sheets enough to convince Lou never to put him up there again.
  6. Am I the only one that thinks that Guzman can be an effective reliever? I've been calling for him to go to the pen for a couple years now.
  7. I don't know what you're talking about, that's the best part about him
  8. It's really incredible how Hill can give up 3 consecutive "non-outs", strike out a guy an inning, and still only be at 64 pitches after 6.
  9. Sweet christmas Rich Hill is reaching Michael Wuertz level of awesomeness
  10. Johnny Estrada looks like he has a new role model.
  11. Just saw the replay, Chris Burke looked worse than Bill Hall did on Floyd's triple.
  12. 3 K's and only 18 pitches through 2 Best game ever
  13. Geez, you normally don't see the catcher's neck snap back on a foul tip like that.
  14. Wow, Soriano should've hit that pitch about 800 feet.
  15. Both of mine. Fortunately Hill is going in both too.
  16. No kidding, Fielder could've gunned Ramirez pretty easily with a solid throw. Barrett, woohoo
