  1. haha, I beat Oliver's team in High School two years in a row, then got the chance to heckle him when Mizzou beat him in Columbia this year.
  2. Even if he just placebos his way to a few more hits, it's an improvement. Hopefully he either turns a corner or goes back in the tank, no long stretches of mediocrity please.
  3. Taveras Smith Helton Spilborghs Stewart Iannetta Baker Quintanilla Rusch Soriano Theriot Lee Ramirez Soto Fukudome DeRosa Johnson Dempster
  4. Only 8 teams did last year.
  5. I've always liked DeJesus, and he could be a real nice fit hitting 2nd. What about something like Cedeno + Marshall?
  6. Mather strikes me as Jason Dubois who's a bit better at not K'ing.
  7. The sponsorship of Brower's BR page is bizarrely hilarious.
  8. I don't feel like starting a new thread, but wouldn't it seem like the A's make a good match for us this year? Their offense is pretty awful, and they have an abundance of starters performing over their heads/really well. More specifically, but less practically, would DeRosa and Pie make a good base for Harden or Blanton? Cedeno at SS(I know, I said less practically) with a Theriot/Fontenot platoon at 2B probably will be relatively close to our current middle infield going forward, plus we get a significant upgrade in the rotation.
  9. I just realized they took out Baker for a defensive replacement last inning, lol
  10. If only there were a Rockies equivalent to Dodger Blues.
  11. Is Jamieson putting Gibson back in the rotation or is he using him as a reliever still? Wow, I hadn't really noticed he hadn't started in that long. I don't know now, although a piggyback Gibson/Tepesch start would have some firepower for a 4th or 5th game. With Berger/Zagone I don't know if we get to that point though.
  12. Zagone has had a horrible year.... IIRC, he has been in the pen lately. He's kinda moved himself up the line, to the point where he started ahead of Berger one weekend after Berger got tagged a couple times.
  13. I could see Gibson beating Miami, and I could definitely see Zagone/Berger beating Ole Miss/B-C, but I don't have a lot of confidence in winning a 4th or 5th game against Miami.
  14. Big 3 run HR from Trevor Coleman makes it 7-0 Mizzou after 7 and should put the game out of reach.
  15. I dunno about that. Mizzou lost their first game 2 years ago, and came back and beat the 1 seed twice to take it. Sure they got run over by Fullerton in the Super Regional, but it's possible, especially in a crazy regional like this one. Still 4-0 Mizzou in the bottom of the 7th.
  16. Cmon Mizzou, Gibson against Miami would be much better than Berger or Zagone. EDIT: Alright, Mizzou got to Lynn in the 5th. 3 runs on 5 hits and it's 4-0 after 5. Please continue to shut the door Crow.
  17. One outing moved him from 39th to 2nd? Everyone's had upwards of 10 starts at this point, that seems kinda strange.
  18. Three more hits for Tony Thomas tonight, he's 9 for his last 18 with 3 doubles and a HR.
  19. Hopefully somebody gets up since there's still no outs
  20. 4 run lead, Lieber needs to pitch the 9th. Or Eyre, since there's a bunch of LH
  21. His IQ is below 75 right? He said the guy was a Cards fan.
  22. 13 pitches and no baserunners is good enough, what a hoss
  23. I remember Mike Fetters doing some crazy head snapping thing because of his asthma Well that was just funny because he puffed his cheeks like a chipmunk while he did it
