was just going to post this. let's not go overboard about his hitting, since he hasn't shown the ability to hit this well at other levels, but he's also fairly young for AA ball and is holding his own at that level. since catchers' bats develop late, it's certainly not out of the question that he could develop into a good enough hitter to start regularly at the big league level. it's looking like a pretty good bet that the combo of a decent bat with good defense can make him a solid backup. I wasn't trying to imply that Castillo has turned some Sotoian corner. His defense and age alone made him a Top 30 prospect, and if he starts taking walks like this, hitting for average like this, or hitting for power like this, he'll be quite valuable.
