wow did Pena sneak up on me with that bullpen dominance Edwards is really rounding into form, have to put pretty decent odds that he'll come up for Fedorowicz once Heyward is good to go. -
Correct. This is the most difficult month of the season schedule-wise, 18 games against playoff contenders. The Cubs are 10-4 in those games. Despite losing 8 of 12 they're still playing at a 109 win pace overall. The pitching has continued to be solid. Things are more than fine.

Lopez has extreme splits, you can't let pretty much anyone but Rizzo face him from the left side if you can help it.

In what way were the Cubs or Maddon burnt by Motte? Also, Rodney was great as a Cub and even better this year in San Diego, so I'd go with 'rescued' or 'fixed' as verbs to describe his tenure.

Whoa I said I was drunk and that's not a joke. But seriously he isn't missing bats enough. Also validate best contact team in baseball. The Giants have the lowest K% in the National League, 2nd in MLB to the Angels. They also have the 4th best offense in the NL, per wRC+. Holding them to 1 run on 4 hits with 6/1 K/BB in 5 IP is very good.

I haven't been watching very closely, but he has 5 K's in 4.2 IP? And the Giants are a high contact team.
