  3. Any idea(directed towards anyone) what his stuff is like?
  4. That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life. Maybe so, but I know 15 NSBB'ers I'd give it to yesterday off the top of my head. Would you pay for the postage with your injury settlement?
  5. Yeah, they need someone who can knock down outside shots consistently. Too bad Jackson got hurt, I wanted to see how well he'd do away from the Dusty of the NBA(Silas).
  6. 6-9, 235. Long, athletic small forward. Solid jump shot and handle. Has the raw tools to be a legit prospect. I think a shooter like Ager or Douby would be a better fit for the Cavs. Somehow I could live with Ager being on the team, he'd be a solid replacement for Murray.
  7. Possible silver lining: Hendry "decided he liked guys who catch the ball", maybe after witnessing the abomination of this year he'll decide he likes players that are actually good.
  8. That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life.
  9. Can someone tell me more about Marcus Vinicus? He's projected around the Cavs pick.
  10. hahahahahahaha Maddux soaked some dude in a polo when he went to town on that cooler. Dude didn't even flinch.
  11. No, he's a FA after next year.

  13. Well, Hendry ignored Pierre's atrocious 2005 and now it's biting the Cubs in the behind. It's hard to ignore .276/.326/.354. And he had an even worse OPS in 2002 with the Rockies. Pierre was anything but a sure bet. On the plus side, he's actually been good on the base paths. Patterson's been better 14/14 15/16
  14. I think the Mizzou faction could be a pretty sweet infield. Cubbies75 is a big target at 1B, I don't know what da bears looks like but he can't be worse than Walker at 2B, I got the range at short, and Mizzou looks like he could handle the hot corner.
  15. Alright, none of us want to give up a ton of top prospects to improve the team. So, in this thread, let's try to list the situations that Hendry might be able to take advantage of. For now, let's put aside whether or not the person is a good fit or exactly how much it would take to get them. Team: Washington Player: Ryan Church Why is he available: Bowden is stupid and doesn't realize Church's value. He and Frank Robinson apparently don't get along well either and is now in AA despite being an .800+ OPS caliber outfielder with a good OBP. Team: Pittsburgh Player: Craig Wilson Why is he available: His TTO style of play clashes with "Tracyball", and with Casey soon to return he is out of a position with Casey at 1B and Burnitz in RF. He's also an impending FA that Pittsburgh may want to get something for before he leaves since they are out of the race. What other situations could we take advantage of?

  17. :( He doesn't really fit their needs, he's more of the mold of recent draftees who become closers and rise quickly through the system(Cordero, the guy on the reds whose name escapes me, etc.)
  18. LOL. He's .263/.268/.288. That's Neifi-esque. Actually, it's worse. Last year, Neifi was .274/.298/.383 and for his career, he's .269/.299/.378. It's one thing to argue that May is only twenty games, the sample size isn't very big, and that Cedeno has a strong enough minor league track record to be allowed to play through. It's another thing entirely to post an entirely misleading stat, implying that Ronnie's performance in May has somehow been acceptable. It hasn't. He's been utterly dreadful. It implies that everyone has been near to on par with him, not that it's acceptable.
  19. where would thome or glaus play on the cubs? prior to 06, lee was one of the most durable guys in the game. you might have something w/ vasquez. who did the sox give up to get him? El Duque, Luis Vizcaino, and Chris Young(who is comparable to Pie).
  20. Gibbs looked like a high school JV player that doesn't know how to use his off foot. At least he made that sliding clear on what would've surely been a 1 v 1 with Keller(or was that someone else?).
