Very solid pick in my opinion. I never understood the "best player available" strategy. I mean, even if Adrian Peterson is still on the board at 14, would it really make sense for Carolina to pick him, already having Foster and Williams? You can always spin off the pick to someone who wants AD at that spot - it's not like there would be a shortage of teams to pick from. BPA may not be right for a team drafting very high in the draft, but for teams in the later half of the first it makes quite a bit of sense. Whenever a team has solid starters but age concerns or questionable depth, BPA is a good strategy. I really hope that the Cowboys go with BPA this year. Even though we signed Gurode, Davis, and Columbo, if Brown or Blalock are the best players left at our pick I wouldn't have a problem picking them.
