    I'll say two misplays, but he probably wont get two errors. As long as he hits 2 homers to atone, I have no problems with it.

    It is not mentioned in the thread title, but this game will also be broadcast on XM185. Too bad it will be the Reds' crew instead of Pat and Ron.

    Random news and notes: Mike Doss ends up signing with the Vikings. David Carr visited with Panthers on Tuesday. Charges against Pacman Jones will not be filed yet because the DA wants more detailed evidence against him. The Titans have begun preliminary contract negotiations with Michael Turner, and compensation talks with San Diego. The trade of Olindo Mare to the Saints for a 6th-round draft pick was made official today. Jay Fiedler will be working out with the Falcons sometime today.

    Maybe he thought that there wasn't much of a future for him here, so he requested his release to look for a more favorable situation.

    SEC boys are usually safe picks. Except for LSU boys picked by the Cowboys. Skyler Green, Steven Peterman, Marcus Spears (so far, though I'm hoping Phillips can turn him around), Brady James (Hoping Phillips can turn him around too, though I'm not his biggest fan), David LaFleur (Decent for awhile but injuries derailed his career).

    Very solid pick in my opinion. I never understood the "best player available" strategy. I mean, even if Adrian Peterson is still on the board at 14, would it really make sense for Carolina to pick him, already having Foster and Williams? You can always spin off the pick to someone who wants AD at that spot - it's not like there would be a shortage of teams to pick from. BPA may not be right for a team drafting very high in the draft, but for teams in the later half of the first it makes quite a bit of sense. Whenever a team has solid starters but age concerns or questionable depth, BPA is a good strategy. I really hope that the Cowboys go with BPA this year. Even though we signed Gurode, Davis, and Columbo, if Brown or Blalock are the best players left at our pick I wouldn't have a problem picking them.

    with tebow running that offense full time? i don't think so. Tebow is much better than Leak was. His arm is stronger and more accurate, he makes better decisions, and his running ability isn't far behind Leak's either.

    Sorry - Pawelek is NOT in our rotation. Thursday: Billy Muldowney Friday: Al Albuquerque Saturday: Rafael Dolis Sunday: off day Monday: Jose Ceda Tuesday: Jose Pina Puts Dolis in line for the home opener start.... That is just how I would have preferred to see the season start out, but I will most likely only be 2/4 as Wells will not be starting opening day for Iowa either.
