  1. My team was terrible last year. I finished 2nd to last and pick 2nd in my draft this year. The only 2 options for keepers are as followed: WR- Sammy Watkins- lose my 4th round pick WR- Tavon Austin- lose my last round (16th) pick FYI, PPR league. 12 teams. The 2 teams surrounding me already announced their keepers and will forgo 4th round picks. So, Watkins would mean 3 picks in a row kept, not keeping him would give me 2 out of 3 picks at the 4th/5th round turn.
  2. 2-0, with this offense and a SP with control issues all game, you play this like it's a tie game late. Not the time for mop-up relievers.
  3. He is who we think he is (a mediocre pitcher) and we keep letting him off the hook.
  4. Uh, Richard....who was also stretched out during his rehab.
  5. Do they do hugs in the dugout for a guy getting DFA'd?
  6. This is the only respectable opinion stated.

    Jay Bruce?

It's like they're trying to replace Kyle Schwarber 4 months later. I don't get it now that Contreras has come up and been a mainstay in the lineup and played a solid LF when not catching (which is most of the time at this point). Maybe the goal is to get Contreras behind the plate more permanently, but still at that point you're not leaving many ABs for LaStella (who's pretty good against RHPs) or Baez (who is dominant against LHPs). And that doesn't even get into Soler, who would probably have to be traded to even get the roster to the confusion I mentioned above. Not to mention the fact that Bruce/Reddick isn't enough of an upgrade for 2 months to justify getting rid of 4+ years of Soler, unless you're getting a hell of a pitcher in return.
  8. An elite reliever was there all along. All along.
  9. Yes. The thread in this forum has been changed to "Dexter Fowler allows you to clap for him".
  10. That's a decent enough idea. He had a dominant stretch from mid-April til the beginning of June, where he gave up 1 ER in 25 innings with an 18:4 K:BB. And a 2:1 GB:FB ratio.
  11. Fowler and Soler are 0-6, with 5 Ks vs. Tyler Skaggs, who will probably make his next start in the majors.
  12. Montgomery was recently stretched out and moved to the rotation for the Mariners. Are we sure he's going to the pen? May be going with 6 starters the way extra rest was effective for the guys this time thru the rotation.
  13. So, we thinking Montgomery in the pen the rest of the year and getting a shot at the rotation next year?
  14. Heyward gets good jumps in CF. Noticeably faster than Fowler. Maybe as good as Almora.
  15. As in a fan or like a commentator? Because that's just not acceptable at all. Ravech said the Cubs have prospects that can give you what Schwarber can. Maybe not HRs, but better defense maybe more speed. And Chapman throws 105mph and the Yankees shorten games, blah blah blah. Said, "yeah Chapman doens't guarantee you a world series, but neither does Schwarber"
  16. That was quietly a really good play by Baez. Covered a ton of ground.
