No mention of Charles "Peanut" Tillman retiring? Peanut announced via Twitter that he is done. Probably not quite a Hall of Famer, but don't underestimate how good of a player he was for the Bears. All things considered, maybe the best CB the Bears have ever had. 39 INTs, 43 forced fumbles, 9 TDs. 21st in NFL history in non-offensive TDs, and all the non kick returners ahead of him are Hall of Famers (except Darren Rapey Sharper). After a defensive MVP caliber season in 2012, it's unfortunate that Peanut couldn't stay healthy the last 3 years. Getting him to 50/50 and 100 total turnovers would have put him in Canton. Also too bad he couldn't get a ring in Chicago nor last year in Carolina (even though he wasn't able to play in the SB). Screwed over by being only a 2-time probowler and 1 time all pro (2012). But a really great player and an even better person. Hopefully, the Bears can get him back in the organization in some kind of role. Congrats on a great career #33.
