    The Bulls would definitely still have to trade or sign a dynamic wing player at some point who the offense could flow through and facilitate to fully utilize the Bamba/Markannen front court. I think Bamba can be the 2nd best player for sure on a championship team. Granted, he'd have to hit on a lot of his upside...and he will never be an Option A because he's a big and the game doesn't go thru the post anymore. But regardless, the Bulls are going to need a dynamic wing player. I mean, that's the only way you contend in the NBA. While Porter or Young could potentially be dynamic wing players, I think the odds are very slim that you take one of them and you're a title contender unless they become Durant or Curry, respectively. I think Lauri/Bamba is a potentially wonderful 2/3 option on a title contender. They're not likely to ever get a #1 option unless they sign an already established FA dynamic wing player. And I think the chances of Lauri/Bamba making Chicago an attractive destination for FA dominant wing players > the chances Porter or Young become that dominant wing player.

    Who do you want. I by no means follow the draft as closely these days, but had kind of resigned myself to one of Bamba, MPJ, or Young being there at 7 and each offering a similar boom/bust profile (granted all in uniquely different ways). It seems possible a trade up to 4 is for one of these guys. Should I feel strongly enough for 1 over the other 2? Love Porter's upside. But Bamba is the guy for me. He also has a lot of offensive upside, and his downside is being a big time shot blocker and finisher around the rim. Porter's downside is he can't even get on the court. Plus, as much as the Bulls need a big time perimeter scorer, I think a premier big would help quite a bit also and it's harder to find (though both are rare). And if Bamba can develop even half of Embiid's offensive game, then they could have enough on the perimeter with LaVine and some other pieces from pick 22 and some mid-level FAs.

    Yeah, I want to move up just so they don't have to "settle" for the 7th of those guys. I want them to go get who they like the most outside of Ayton, who's gone at 1. Not liking the stuff coming out about Porter, about how teams think he'll miss his rookie year. 1. Phoenix- Ayton 2. Sacramento- Bagley 3. Atlanta- Doncic 4. Bulls- Bamba (not sure what it would take, but I'd be willing to take Parsons' deal in order to keep either 22 or Portis). Maybe #4 + Parsons for #7, 2019 top 3 protected pick, Portis? 5. Dallas- Porter 6. Orlando- Young 7. Memphis- Jackson Jr.

    This is about where I am. I think if you're the Bulls you gotta make every effort to trade up to 4. Assuming Ayton, Doncic and Bagley are the top 3. I want to be assured of Porter or Bamba (who I am more intrigued by by the day). I don't think you get either sitting at 7. But to me, Porter has to be the pick. If I'm going boom/bust, I want the guy with the offensive talent (in an O driven league) that has injury questions rather than the defensive guy that has offensive questions. Of course, that same logic should make Trae Young pretty intriguing. If Young is the guy, I'd definitely be drinking the Kool Aid that he'd work out and be Steph Curry 2.0. But for whatever reason, I'd also feel better if the Bulls went up and got him at 4. That would show me that they value him a lot and he's the guy they want rather than the guy they settled for at 7.

    ARod is so effing awful. Literally everything that comes out of his mouth is nonsense. But you guys can't make me not like Vasgersian. He's goofy, and should probably only call the play-by-play with no deviation, but he has some entertainment value.

    Those people all left as NBA fans when Allen Iverson was the face of the league and "thugs" were ruining the game. They don't pay attention to basketball at all.

    Hutchison didn't work out at the combine, seems to have a landing spot that he's sure of. I like him a bunch and if we take a big at 7, I'd love him at 22. Kind of agree though, doubt he's there. As a UNC guy, I can't let myself say Allen would be nice at 22. But, I can't argue with anything you said on him and his measurables were excellent, as was his athleticism yesterday. If we go wing at 7, I'd roll the dice on Mitchell Robinson at 22. But, he may not make it that far. Same with Jontay Porter. If Troy Brown is available at 22, I'd be ecstatic. A few others I really like are Jacob Evans, Bruce Brown, Chimezie Metu, and Josh Okogie. But, not at 22, if we trade for an early to mid 2nd. I'm trying to talk myself into Bates-Diop, but I just see rotation upside, even if it's immediate. Love his measureables, but don't know if he can slash or shoot the 3 well enough, to turn into a starter. As a 2nd rounder, I wouldn't hesitate, but I'm currently not a fan of him at 22. LOL. I don't know any of these guys, except for Bates-Diop. And I agree with you on him. He made a huge improvement this year, but still has to do more and he doesn't have enough projectability to me. Rather have a guy that does at least 1 thing really good.

    Any 20-40 sleepers you guys like? Hate the guy's guts, but I actually think Grayson Allen could be a decent pick at 22. He's a guy that should be able to crack a rotation as a rookie, and can shoot the ball or do some slashing. May be a similar player to what the Bulls were hoping McDermott would be, but easily more athletic. Chandler Hutchinson seems to be pretty interesting too, though he may be gone late teens.

    Any chance the Bulls package both picks and get into the top 4? Would that even matter? I really like the idea of Porter. Obviously, his back has to check out. Usually 19 year olds with back problems don't end well, but I like his fit for the Bulls moreso than any other player that's going to go outside of the top 2. I think a gamble that his back holds up is worth whatever chance he has to basically become a poor man's Durant. Definitely moreso than going for a defensive guy/rebounder like Carter, Bamba or Jackson Jr. I do like Jackson's game a lot though, but he's probably going top 4 after Doncic, Ayton, and Bagley. If no Porter, I'd probably take Sexton and trade Dunn.

    On Jacksonville though It's well documented how bad Bortles was in 2016, particularly when throwing to Robinson. Robinson's career path is somewhat similar to Deandre Hopkins. Hopkins did have 2 elite years before a down 2016 though, and obviously no ACL tear. With competent QB play, I can see Robinson getting back to elite level. Learning new offense and Trubisky's development though are more factors to him being elite IMO than his actual ability, even with the ACL tear.

    I guess Robinson isn't unquestioned, but he's as close as anyone could reasonably expect a team to get. There's no such thing as an unquestionably elite, impact draft talent. And those guys don't typically hit free agency. I'd probably give an A-/B+. I really would have liked a different direction at CB. Prince is decent and all, and he really wanted to come back to the Bears, but getting a guy that at least has a shot to create a turnover would've been nice, especially knowing the pass rushing class was weak in FA and the draft. But the most important thing Pace did was surround Trubisky with the best possible coaching, weapons and scheme he could ask for. I love a lot of the moves, am cautiously optimistic about others, but ultimately if Pace made the right QB pick last year, and the right coaching hire this year, then the rest of the personnel doesn't matter all that much.

    Personal preference I guess. Not the fastest or best route runner, but he wins every 50/50 matchup. Probably underwhelmed enough at the combine that nobody really wanted to spend a pick on him. Some lesser WRs were drafted simply because they were more athletic, I think. Uphill battle to make the team, and doesn't seem like a great fit, but hopefully he can show enough to get a shot somewhere in the league.

    Hill has multiple failed drug tests, and was suspended from the team. Tolliver was a really highly recruited guy out of HS. He wasn't very good at LSU though despite having a ton of potential. He was also suspended for team rules violations (think he missed some meetings). Jackson was kicked out of Florida after an armed robbery and home invasion.

    Fitts is interesting. I really liked him during the Senior bowl week. But he's been injured a lot. Has only played 1 full season collegiately due to injuries. Was a pretty highly recruited kid who started at UCLA. But he transferred, and I'd guess he's about 23 now. But he's not exactly raw. He's a guy that can help some this year if he's healthy. He's white so he's a high motor guy, but he's also pretty darn athletic and decent technique. Probably a guy that's going to be at best a 3rd or 4th pass rusher and get you around 4-6 sacks a year. Nothing special, but could be a solid rotational guy if healthy. Probably need to bring back Lamarr Houston or Willie Young at this point.

    Not really. 139th best player according to my favorite ranking site. Picked 115. My Steelers fan buddy thinks he was their target at the end of this round. Not sure why they drafted a 2nd ILB though. Definitely not a "need" pick Maybe they think this is Trevathan's last year as a Bear? Yeah, very real possibility. Would be going into the last year of his deal in 2019, no more guaranteed money. If he can't play 16 games this coming year, they may look to move on, especially with a potential stud LB already on the roster. Kwiatkoski is also a FA after 2019. He has to be pretty upset right now though.

    He has like 10 5/8" hands, which is ridiculous for someone 5'11".

    Bears still have a decent bit of money left. I'd love for them to go after a couple more free agents after the draft is over. Specifically thinking, Jonathan Hankins. Gives the Bears a veteran who can form a deadly base DL alongside Goldman and Hicks. Can also back up Goldman on the nose. And is a hell of an insurance policy in case Robertson-Harris and Bullard don't take the next step. He's not a great pass rusher, but does have a 7 sack season under his belt in 2014 (5 last 2 years). The outside pass rush obviously isn't going to be ideal with Floyd, Lynch, Acho and likely a 3rd day draft pick. Also, Kenny Vaccaro would be a nice luxury signing. Pace was a part of the group that drafted him. He's an ideal 3rd safety who can play in the box and did a decent job covering TEs last year. Would give the Bears the versatility to go 3 safeties in the nickel with he and Jackson able to cover the slot or TE in man coverage. Junior Galette would be interesting as an OLB, but I don't see that happening. I guess when he was with the Saints he really trashed the organization, and I don't think Pace would have interest because of that. But he's one of the best pass rushers in the league on a "per rush" basis.

    Forgot about Quinton Meeks. Another good big CB still on the board. He might actually be in my top 10.

    Really like Toliver. Has some off-field stuff. Would be interesting if Pace takes a shot with him if there in the 5th. Another big CB I like is Tarvarus McFadden from FSU. Former high recruit and some good tape in his past before a pretty crappy year in 2017. He's not very fast though. Holton Hill is another big CB with off-field issues. Don't know much about the last 2 or the late DT/OT guys in general. But I'm good if they come out of this with Sweat and one of those CBs (some smaller slot CBs I like still there too).
