  1. The offense is ass. The running game is elite, hater. Well, it's going to be good to very good. It may be elite. The addition of Cohen is definitely going to add some big punch to the attack.
  2. That's two good (enough) blocks by Glennon so far.
  3. Hope he is durable
  4. All teams hold on every play. On that play, Young (?) needs to keep contain instead of trying to draw another hold.
  5. Defense looks okay, but not world beaters. Tough offense to face out of the gate, though.
  6. Running backs are exciting. The rest of the offense is just plain bad.
  7. That was a nice blitz by Freeman to get the pressure.
  8. Yeah but they did a good job stopping the run. Offense looks fairly miserable on the first drive The offense is ass.
  9. Couldn't get much pressure on that first drive.
  10. That's probably true. But Cubs fans would be wise to point at his family and then slowly drag their fingers across their necks. You know, to encourage him to retire. Dude I know it's a joke. But it seems a bit much. Or maybe I'm just cranky this morning.
  11. The other names on that graphic make me think being on the graphic doesn't mean all that much.
  12. Apparently len hasn't heard the story about Verlander blocking the trade until the last minute to give the Cubs a chance, either.
  13. I really want to trade for Verlander AND claim Nicasio
  14. It basically had to be guys not on the 40 man.
  15. What's more fun is that we can realistically have 7 next year if you add Russell into that mix.
  16. verlander would probably refuse to report to the team if the cubs tried to do that. I mean, probably? But maybe he wants to win a World Series or something. Might as well ask, right? I like the idea. If we trade for him, he might be the best starter on the team.
  17. True, but NL before AL. oh...that's dumb. i just figured the same league thing was for tie breaking (which is still dumb) It's just a legacy from when the leagues were more separate. But yeah it should be eliminated now.
  18. I agree with you, TT...but still...I'm hoping De La Cruz has a great start and they love him.
  19. Yeah, if he gets to us it is a no-brainer. Heck, do it now and he can just move locker rooms.
  20. yes, it would be an amazing run for him in a single year.
  21. it's really not a bad contract. it's just not a good one, either. Since it takes up a fair amount of payroll for them and he provides such mediocre production as 1/5 of their rotation, I was really hoping they'd be stuck with him. I believe he's also lost a fair amount of velocity and there would be hope that he'd get even worse in the future.
