Since 2000: Alabama won 4 in 7 years and was in the final game more than that. Florida won 2 in 3 years USC was a miraculous performance in the title game away from repeating It's basically a 10-15 team league with built-in advantages to teams that had done well the prior year. There are no real mechanisms to enforce parity such as a salary cap, drafts, etc. The difference in talent level between teams is far greater than there is in any of the professional sports.

He was hurt when he was drafted? Proof of this? This pick was just awful luck, period. It wasn't even considered a reach. I feel awful for White, too, but I didn't expect to get jack horsefeathers out of him. I figured him a bust last year when I actually saw him play. To me, that's why it was a bad pick. I haven't seen anything in his receiving skills that warrants a first round pick. I think it was a scouting failure.

This is why the run game could be less than elite. If teams can put all eleven defenders in the box, you're not going to be elite at running the ball.
