  1. Buck 30 minutes ago "A great defensive centerfielder"
  2. Yeah. How dare he single and steal a base? I hope he gets injured so he can't do that crap anymore. Or......not scoring on that double.....
  3. Wrigley does not own the Cubs, nor the field. Lets think logically before overreacting please.
  4. That's quite a stretch. Could be a couple pitchers who have the stuff to exploit him and have made their pitches over two days. Maybe he's not picking the ball up well with the new field's batter's eye. Maybe he's doing it to throw us off the trail that he's really a cyborg, it could be a lot of different things. Wait wait wait. Did I miss the memo where THINKING was a sign on MENTAL weakness?
  5. right on Colorodo is the bane... Bain: A brothel; a stew; a house of prostitution.
  6. ...which is exactly why people shouldn't be creating threads entitled "Best Record in Baseball!!" Argh!! Right, whatever. As of this moment, the Cubs have the best record in baseball. Something worth noting. It is not intended to be a predictive commentary, jusy a notation.
  7. If the Dodgers can hang 9 more outs on the board, the Cubs will have tied the Dbacks for the best record in baseball. When was the last time the Cubs held that this late in the season?
  8. Lee would've been toast. He was at third before Chavez had the ball. dag nabbit the last thing we needed there was a K. No he wasn't. Chavez picked it up before Lee rounded third and the ball wasn't hit hard so it would have been a shorter throw to the plate. SSR is right. Even with an average throw home, Lee would have been toast. At least we would have made them make a play. This was a pathetic inning. DeRosa has to make contact. Fukudome and Cedeno say hello.
  9. I don't see the big deal. It's not some kind of free speech issue. If the Cubs don't like them they should ban them. It's their stadium. I'm not sure if we would even be setting a precedence for banning shirts. I'm pretty sure that other stadiums have banned "Yankees sucks" t-shirts and other things like this in the past. I'd imagine that a fan with profanity on their t-shirt would be forced to turn it inside-out in most stadiums. I don't see why they couldn't just do that with these t-shirts. I have seen several fans be forced to turn shirts inside out that had curse words on them. Even the "Cubs Suck" shirts. EDIT: AT BUSCH I HAVE SEEN THIS
  10. Well with the 4 non renewals that means that 8 -16 tickets came available.
  11. You named yourself after someone who you "think pitched in the 70's" ?
  12. I meant vouch (I think people got that). But sadly, I was on a loptop, with no autocorrect. The worst part, it took me a solid 3 minutes on dictionary.com to figure out that there is no "g" in the word at all, and that I have been pronouncing it wrong my entire life. Awesome.
  13. Hey all (As always, mods delete or move as needed) I had my friends bail on me for Tuesday's game. As such, I am looking to pass along some of my season tickets. Face is $24 and thats all I would ask. These are in the 200 level. PM me for further details. Several posters on here can vogue for me and these seats. Thanks.
  14. How often does the thirdbaseman throw to the pitcher during a live play?
  15. Why does a publication from 1907 have the 1908 World Series winner on it?
  16. LOL oooooooooook. I didn't do anything.... Don't worry, I'm just trying to scare you. Ok lol, I thought you were being serious. It's April, way to early to start talking about records anyways. Thats insane, the first thing I did growing up was grab the paper to see who did what the night before, and to see the standings. I still feel the same way. I live in Chicago, and subscribe to EI just because of this. I watch all the random games I can.
